Stupid question, of course it can. Not all champions league matches are entertaining. I'll never forget Fulham's Europa league run, beating Juventus 4-1 after going a goal down, bloody hell if that isn't entertaining and intense I don't know what is.

The Europa league looks to have improved this term with 'champions' league looking a little stale and predictable. I enjoy both but I have noticed how much tougher the EL has become.

Its something to look forward to every other Thursday. The price, a title and a CL spot makes it very interesting, but very hard to win.

Last night was pretty entertaining and we should play this way the next two games as well.

The knockout stage is always something special. Good teams around and we tend to be in a sweat every single round. Remember Dnipro & Benfica last season and Lyon, Inter & Basle the year before.

It also brings new opponents to our club and for me new travel destinations.

As soon as all the East european little clubs are more or less out, it gets a very good and interesting competition worth to be in.
