I don't really agree with this. Leicester season was by far the best chance. Even if we'd have spent £150m this summer, it still would have been a long-shot, such is City's strength in depth, and Pep's obesssion with winning.

By chance I meant this era. I don't think Poch has been backed enough with players to be honest. He's trying to win the league with one hand tied behind his back.

You look at it that we've been unfortunate having to pour money into the stadium project at a time when we've had a great team that could have done with a bit more depth, or you can say we're damn lucky to have got Poch delivering CL and the money that comes with it during our most challenging period.
