Think AVB said he was back in training this week, so probs a doubt for the weekend, but maybe available next weekend.

if he's back in training this week maybe he's available for the cup game next week?

knowing spurs though, he'll probably mysteriously disappear for another 3-4 weeks

I'd expect him to make the bench, or perhaps even start and play an hour, against Hull in the League cup next week.

Physio room has Capoue, Rose & Kaboul for a 26/10 return date.

They're usually pretty close.

Where to play him? He looked really good before injury!

We're clearly heading towards a midfield where we have two quality players per position. At the moment it stacks up like:

DM: Capoue & Sandro
CM: Paulinho & Dembele
AM: Eriksen & Holtby

RW: Townsend & Lamela
LW: Sigurdsson & Lennon

Ok so the left wing looks a bit odd as neither Sig or Lennon play that position naturally.

But the rest of that is incredibly strong. There's little to chose between any of those first and second option midfield 3.

Essentially AVB will rotate and even rotate combinations of the above during games accordingly.

By the end of the season I think our wing options will end up being:

RW: Lamela & Lennon
LW: Townsend & Chadli

Agree with you on Lennon, I see him being used on the left from now on. Capoue will have to fight his way back in, with good cup performances.

A fit on form Capoue should be a first team regular....i believe in players like him who make sure there are no fires to put out as the opposition rarely get the ball.....he will be our main man if he stays injury free.

Before Villa AVB said Rose and Capoue would be back in training this week.

He also said Kaboul was available for Villa, but seemingly he just didn't make the squad.

It's a little mad to think that with a fully fit squad the following players would probably not even make the bench

Gomes, Naughton, Chiriches, Capoue, Chadli and Adebayor (40m worth of players)

Chiriches and Capoue most certainly won't be making the numbers up and both will contribute heavily over the course of the campaign.

Naughton is a cup player at best but will inevitably see time deputising unless we bolster in January and Chadli will flitter in and out with him hopefully steadily improving as he acclimatises.

As for Adebayor, who knows?!

Where's Chadli?

Good, better safe than sorry.

I got sick to death with previous managers that rushed players back, before they was ready and only got injured again.
