Obviously you’re all looking forward to taking on Messi & Co tonight and have not thought about the weekends game but I’m looking forward to coming to Wembley again! I’m assuming there are no away pubs as per usual for a London away but what are the pubs to avoid in terms of away fans?

Any pubs east of Newport are off limits mate :D;)

In all seriousness though I think the Green Man used to be the designated "away pub" so not sure if that's still the case or not. The others around the stadium are home supporters only by and large. I would say just don't wear colours and you'd be alright but the accent might give you away

To be honest though, all the pubs around Wembley are shit so you're better off drinking somewhere in central London that's on the train line to Wembley and just going straight in once you're there. Much better than hanging around Wembley anyway.

Yep, the accent is always a dead give away. We were thinking of the Globe on Baker Street as we've been there every time we've been to Wembley recently but wasn't sure if that's what the "hardcore" Spurs do or not!

The metropolitan, weatherspoons pub at Baker Streeet is always busy with Spurs fans but I wouldn't call it hardcore and I've seen away fans in there pretty regularly no problems, not in large numbers mind you, plus it's not like you're chelsea.(y)
To be honest I always feel the pub situation for wembley isn't very territorial, it's not like being at White Hart Lane in our own pubs.

Thanks for this, this is the reason I was asking really. It's a bit of a strange situation with us both being away from home really!

I wouldn't worry too much mate. As others have said, given the situation at the moment there isn't really anywhere that's "hardcore" spurs anywhere to be honest, more just that the policy in the pubs around Wembley (except the green man) seems to be home supporters only, so it's the pub managers that are the problem for you rather than any kind of "hardcore" Spurs fans to be honest

You'll be fine around Baker Street unless you're causing trouble. There'll be plenty of Spurs fans obviously but can't imagine you having issues unless you cause them obviously

Only pub you want to avoid is the one that @riggi is drinking in, he's our own Tottenham Ultra :cautious:

You won't get any bother at Wembley. Green man is the designated away pub. I'd recommend baker st though. Make sure you go for a piss before you get on the tube though..

Cheers for all the advice gents. Good luck against Barca tonight, I don't think you could have two more contrasting fixtures as your next two coming up ;-)

It's a shame this game isn't scheduled for after Christmas.

With the Severn Bridges Toll being scrapped on 17/12 you wouldn't have had to pay to get back into Wales.
