The Football League today accepted our position on the issue of away ticketing allocations and ruled that there should be parity in percentage of allocation. They therefore asked Arsenal FC to find a way to increase the allocation at the Emirates stadium to match that which we were able to provide at White Hart Lane - namely 12.2%.

Arsenal FC have since responded that they are unable to do so and we find their unwillingness to accommodate this percentage of away fans disappointing. The Football League, in light of Arsenal's inability to comply with this, has therefore provided for the away allocation of tickets for supporters at both White Hart Lane and the Emirates to be equal, based upon Arsenal's provision of 5,173 away tickets. This means that we shall only be providing Arsenal with 3,000.

The Football League has stressed that their decision has been made in the exceptional circumstances of this being Arsenal's first season at the Emirates stadium and should not be used as a precedent in future seasons.

WANKERS!! I really hope we do the scum
  2. YIDBOY
So they accepted our position and then let the scum have their way.......erm, you what?!

We knew they'd have it their way, fucking scum. Now lets stuff the wankers good and proper.

So the football league lay down teh law at 12.2 % and then ar*e say "screw you, we'll do what we want".

Surely that means they should face sanctions!!!!

This makes me mad, but I knew we wouldn't get what we should've.

The people who suffer are the fans, of both clubs, who don't get to see a game that they should........it makes me sick....

And what happens if we draw them again in the FA Cup?

Arsenal, with their new spangly, plastic, Coca - Cola stadium should have made provisions for this. Invite one of the Glasgow clubs down for a pre-season friendly, give 'em 9000 tickets (which they'll easily bring) and see how it works out.

The rules of the competition are clear and they can't fulfill them - it's wrong and they should be punished. Instead, as usual, it's the fans who suffer instead.....

What has it being their first season in the stadium got to do with anything?
  6. PT
At least we won't have another Southend situation - the atmosphere was rank at that game.

    F*cking scum!
  8. eViL
I wouldn't mind.. but they can't fill their f*cking stadium ANYWAY!
  9. UncleBuck
The only reason they've got away with this is Dein's position within the FA, if it was ANY other club they would be required to fulfill the required allocation! I think there needs to be an impartial management structure within the FA where FA board members are not chairman or have vested interests in individual clubs. It's quite staggering that the FA can make a recommendation only for arsenal to say they are not going to adhere to it.....and get away with doing so. Beggars belief but then we shouldn't be surprised should we.....

As posted in another thread it is the Football League that runs the Carling Cup !

    fucking bollocks man.

when i read the part about the league agreeing on the 12% i thought the next line would state that the arse would get fined at least! but no its all forgotten about due to the league sucking on the cocks of the so called top four.

you wait, they will get another club in the fa cup at home and give them the full allocation. why do they have to be suck tits and why do they get away with it!!!!!!!!!!

    I HATE ARSENAL!
  14. AllSeeingEye
    Arsenal get their way again.

I'm trying to work out why everyone is saying that the Arse*** have "got away" with something. They lost. We won.

The central point of the argument was not "how many of us can attend the match at their place", although that's a reasonable fan's-eye view.

The main point - Levy's point - was that they wanted a higher percentage of our place than they were willing to give us, basically because they hadn't sorted out their new stadium to accommodate fan separation correctly. That was a preposterous argument. And it was duly thrown out.

So, as a result of the Arse*** failing to design their stadium properly, their fans will not be able to visit our place, to exactly the same percentage that our fans will not be able to visit their place. In fact, because their place is bigger than ours, more Spurs fans will get away tickets than Arse*** fans.

Can all the people who were ranting on yesterday about how the League would decide in Arse***'s favour "because they always do" (and because Dein is on the board) please start eating their hats? The League has told Arse*** to sod off.

And, as a result of their incompetence, Arse*** have pissed off their own fans as well as pissing us off. Big public relations coup for the Arse***.

    Bang on the money mate.
  17. dirtydave
its simple, arsenal have messed up, breached practice laws and are seemingly getting away with it.
its not about final numbers just that they have breached pre-agreed rules. this should result in them being expelled from the competition otherwise why cant any team breach any set rule? why dont we field 30 players!
  18. AllSeeingEye
So we can take more. Big deal, but the principle of the matter is that Arsenal are bending the rules of the competition. Why take part in it if you can't accomodate the full allocation, surely the numpties that built the stadium would have been advised of the number of away fans that they may have to accomodate during the season, and figure out how to police it safely.

It's sloppy, it's retarded and it has Arsenal written all over it.

Yes, given, we take the same percentage at our place, but the fans are losing out.

What hope in hell have ordinary members and even some of the diehard season ticket holders got of seeing, potentially, one or the most electrifying games of the season?

    Wake up Matzdorf!!!! :)

In addition to that David, I must say that most reports on the issue state 'FA back Gunners' or something along those lines.
We would have had harsher treatment by the FA for breaching rules.
