There is alot of negativity amongst fans at the moment with our current inconsistency in the league and our lack of goals and creativity.

But I think one massive positive has been glossed over. Steven Caulker.

I genuinely think we are witnessing the emergence of a future Spurs legend. We all knew he was going to be good and were praying for Harry to play him but nobody could of expected how quickly he's settled into the back 4.

The boy has everything. Composed in the ball, commanding in the air, a threat from set pieces. Leads by example, and a calming influence at the back..

The heir to Ledley?

He's not slow either. I also was surprised how well he intercepts through-balls, he has a good reading of the game. Although Gallas seems to be the one making all the blocks in the box.

Great player, I'd play him over Daws and Gallas now. And if any England player deserves a cap he does......

I like the boy, and he is a boy despite playing like a veteran.
He's 20 and in the most responsible and difficult position.
He is calm and composed on the ball, good in the air, brings the ball out of defence quickly
and with confidence and most importantly will only get better.

It is possible to pick holes in his game of course, he's young and inexperienced.
I won't go overboard at this stage and start comparing him to Ledley
or predict his long term future.
Such praise is at this stage unhelpful.
But I have seen enough so far to make me think
that he will be an important member of the squad for years to come.
