Chadli: "I think that next season they will see the real Chadli at Spurs"

translated from Voetball Primeur

Nacer Chadli has taken a considerable risk after a difficult first half at Tottenham Hotspur. The FC Twente midfielder was, after all, just starting to play, but nevertheless he has decided to stay in London. With that he put his spot in the Belgian World Cup squad seriously at stake.

Chadli could have gone to clubs like Swansea City and Olympiakos, but remained calm and eventually fought his way into the team. "At one time we were ten players for three positions, but I never panicked," he said in De Telegraaf." We have all played together over sixty games, I think I've played it a little more than half. That's not bad for my first season, but I think that next season they will see the real Chadli at Spurs."

Fuck this box to box shit that TS had him playing in (especially when it was alongside another Box to box)

He should either be a LWF or RWF or our back up to Eriksen as a number 10. I think he's a tidy player and I expect more to come

Really like Chadli and his potential. I wrote it about 20 times now: Has everything what you need to suceed in the Premier League.

When we made our comeback at Lissabon where he scored two goals I saw a real potential leader for the offense in him.

We just need a manager who can find his best position (which isn't CM). 2nd striker, no. 10 , LWF, RWF... lots of possibilities. More than a useful squad member.

That is some AutoCorrect!

But yeah I agree, Chadli should be more forward not CM

The man has struggled, but he has shown obvious intrinsic quality, and is a very versatile player. Offers everything Siggy does and then some (except for HG status), so I think it's time for the latter to go elsewhere for the sake of both parties.

There's a strong connection between our Belgians, they get on really well. Holtby seems to be included in this group. Hopefully, their comraderie will help them improve individually and as a team.

Chadli was excellent at Twente and has the attributes to be a top quality player. We shouldn't write him off after one season. I'd like to see him return to playing his natural positions, centre mid doesn't suit him. He did very well as a left wide forward at Twente and has been very good as a centre attacking mid for Belgium. I'm hoping for a big response from all our 'new' players next season.

Just a slow Downing.

But credit where it's due.... a Downing in his prime while at Villa.

He knows himself he's played a stinker, why he's come out with this.

Suppose we get to see Downing in his Boro days next season then.

With an attitude like that hes half way there

Talk is cheap with spurs players ... Goes back donkey years .... Rather not hear the settling in getting used to league crap .. There wasn't much fight pride Or attitude against any top side let alone games against serious local rivals ... We will see next season . I hope he is right but ........and just for record not just him way wAy more who talked the talk .. And were bloody embarrassing ... They would not know attitude if it hit them in face.
