With 2 big teams guarenteed to go out if wr beat juve the draw might open up for us
We have JUVENTUS.....a massive team. Beat them and who is left to be worried about? But meeting them will be the biggest result for the club in years.
Can't believe how lucky both Manc clubs got and Pool

We topped a group that contained Real Madrid and Dortmund, we have no reason to fear anyone we draw in this competition.

No I’m not saying we will win it. However I see no reason for us to fear any draw.

Whilst I agree with that sentiment it doesn't allow for much rotation and could bring about burn out and/or injuries to key players. We need our best available team on the park for all of those matches.

Best available will also be based on fitness. I expect some rotation but having a full week between Liverpool and Arsenal will really help.

Reasons to be cheerful:

1. We’ve beaten Juventus at Wembley already this season albeit a friendly.
2. We beat a top Italian team the last time we played in the last 16 of the CL where nobody gave us a chance.
3. We have one of the best strikers in world football. And if he has a bad day, Son will shine instead.
4. I’m getting a blowie tonight when I get home from work due to her wanting to make up for being a moody **** last night.
5. Juventus aren’t the team they used to be even last year after selling a few top players.
6. Did I mention the blowie?

In conclusion, we might win this.

And I’m getting a blowie.

True about ManU and Liverpool but the problem they could face is that both will enter as clear favourites and we've seen time and again that "clear" favourites don't always go through.
Juve is the favourite in this game so the pressure is on them. Problem is, they have decades of experience in the CL so they know how to deal with that pressure - but hopefully not this time

Apparently can't have a Friday night at Wembley.

Apart from on here, where did you hear this.

I've checked the Brent planning application made back in March and I can't find any reference to banning matches on a Friday.

I'd not heard anything about Friday nights not being possible either and it would make very little sense considering we regularly play midweek games there and England have played Friday nights there many times in the past.

I read it on FTL, so may not be true. Either way, the game definitely won't be a Sunday.

The rest of the draw worked out quite well in that Chelsea and Real could have had easier draws. So either way you are getting ride of 2 good teams. I’d hate chelsea over 2 legs you know they’d do us.I honestly believe this is winnable. The only team I’d truly fear over 2 legs is PSG. Everyone else I’d give us a chance. It’s very rare we ever get smashed. I now we haven’t conceded more than 2 against another top 6 team in last 14 games and it may go back further than that.

It’s actually 25 games since we last conceded 3 against a top 6 team. Pretty remarkable tbh. And means we should always be in a tie.

I actually really fancy us in this. I think we'll get a result in Turin, and beat them at Wembley.

Not against Spurs, but for City, Liverpool and United - certainly. There is far too much money in it for UEFA not to want the clubs that generate most punter interest to stay in the competition to the later stages.

I guess that’s why they drew Real against PSG and Barca against Chelsea then.

Jesus wept, whenever people talk about conspiracies like this is embarrassing.
