I guess that’s why they drew Real against PSG and Barca against Chelsea then.

Jesus wept, whenever people talk about conspiracies like this is embarrassing.

Cram it, pal. And take “Jesus wept” back to the 1980s where it belongs. I find your outdated idioms embarrassing. See if you can logistically make a draw where all the big teams avoid each other - as I said in subsequent posts, there aren’t enough teams to ensure that and 2) I was being semi-sarcastic.

Maybe read the numerous pages after the post you read before replying to it, because chances are - there have been responses/elaborations.

Juve will be hard, even without Bonucci their defence is very well drilled. I just can’t believe what an easy ride Liverpool and Utd at getting.

Delighted with that draw, growing up Juventus were my ‘non English’ team as I idolised Del Piero as a kid and I needed a team to watch to cheer me up from whatever debacle Spurs were involved with that weekend. Beating them will be quite cathartic.

Don’t really watch enough of juve to judge. Obviously know they have some quality players. But who would you nick from their squad that goes straight in our 1st xi ?

Dybala is highly rated but has shit hair and pulls his socks halfway down like some fucking Jack Grealish wannabe so he can get fucked.

Buffon (yeah, I know he's old but hasn't as many errors as Lloris imo), Dybala, Pjanic. Maybe Alex Sandro?

They have Douglas Costa who I rate highly and wanted us to sign but he doesn't start big games for them, hopefully that continues.

This is the kind of tie that should hopefully keep the team motivated between now and Feb. I'm happy we got a big game but also a winnable one for us.

We can definitely go through in this tie if we have no major injuries.

third in Serie A atm, they seem to have dropped a bit of form from last season

as long as we dont have injuries to key players I believe we can beat them, nice having the last leg at home too

this is what UCL is all about

Dybala could in theory slot in ahead of Dele but he’s similarly frustrating to be honest. Great flair to him though. I’d have a Son in ahead of any inside forwards they have though, and up front Kane pisses all over Higuaín and Mandzukic.

Argument to be made for Matuidi but I prefer the all action of a fully fit Wanyama, while for me Pjanic wouldn’t get in ahead of a top form Dembele or Eriksen. Maybe Winks at this point. Marchisio in his pomp would get in but he’s a little on the decline and is not a first choice anymore. Khedira I’ve never understood the hype, German Jordan Henderson.

Defence, Alex Sandro is probably a better left back than we have, I’d say there’s little between Vertonghen and Chiellini, Alderweireld is a a shoe in to play in either side as RCB, an I’ve never overly rated Lichtsteiner. Much as I love Hugo, Buffon is still head and shoulders the best goalie around, best of all time in my opinion.

I think a fair combined xi would be:

Buffon
Trippier Alderweireld Chiellini Sandro
Wanyama Matuidi
Dybala Eriksen Son
Kane

Agree, apart from I think you're really underselling Pjanic and seriously disrespecting Khedira, he's a world cup winner, like a better version of Gerrard. I'd just change Pjanic for Matuidi in your combined starting XI.

Not many people have goalkeepers as idols, but Buffon was mine.

Grateful that we will be facing him before his retirement. He holds every positive characteristic you could hope for, both as person and a professional.
