You could see the assistant ref was uncertain who it came off of. He correctly determined it would be offside if Jesus played the ball, but it didn't. The other two refs needed to give him the information that the ball came off Milner. It's a situation that requires a lot of team work and communication to get right, but that's why these guys ref together week in and week out so that they get that call correct in the CL quarterfinals.

We know from experience that if you weather a Liverpool first half they start to fall away.. so if they're knackered from chasing already, then hopefully they'll find it more difficult 2nd half..

So it came off a Liverpool player and he wasn't offside anyway? Ffs

He was offside as behind the keeper and only 1 player ( needs 2 I think) between him and goal.... But as ball came off a Liverpool player it shouldn't have been called. Didn't they have a goal ruled out wrongly in the first leg also? Should be ahead on away goals now.

What a great half of football. Think City probably needed the second their play deserved to win the tie as there’s no way they can keep up that pace for another 45 minutes.

Nothing City do as a club means anything. Liverpool going through to the semis would be unbearable.

That was so obviously off of a Liverpool player I can't believe that one of the many officials didn't see it. How many do you need to make a correct decision?

Didn't think about the keeper, you're right, we had that situation with Vertonghen before when he was in his own half

It want offside because it came off Milner but I think he gave it for a foul anyway.

I think city are as much of a stain on football as the next person but overturning a 3-0 against Liverpool is the most humane thing they could do as a club.
