The rule is that the player has to make a deliberate attempt to play the ball. I haven't seen it so no idea!

He was offside as behind the keeper and only 1 player ( needs 2 I think) between him and goal.... But as ball came off a Liverpool player it shouldn't have been called. Didn't they have a goal ruled out wrongly in the first leg also? Should be ahead on away goals now.

Been some very pro-Liverpool refereeing in both legs.
