Unfortunately so, you kinda just wanna grab the guy and shake him, so many times for Madrid he looks like he just kind of floats around the pitch. It's mostly annoying because you know there's so much raw ability that he's not showing.
Does he ever fucking run at anyone any more?

Just checked the scores. Wow.

The CL this season seems to be completely insane, which just makes me sure that the Scousers will win it...

It's not like real football out there.

It's a full on pantomime with histrionics, diving, acting, filth and scummy tactics.

Both as bad as each other.

Liverpool would have an absolute field day if Madrid played like this against them, think Juve would be a much tougher proposition.

I get the impression that some of the Madrid players are ignoring him and his runs, they seem to only be passing to him if it's a last resort, fuck them and Ronaldo time to come home Gareth.

I've thought that for a while, he almost looks like an outcast on the pitch. I honestly think the guy should be up there as one of the best in the world but really looks like he's in a shell at Madrid.

It's really strange, it's like a lot of the time when he gets it he's wondering who he can cross or pass it to. Completely different mindset to when he was with us which can make a massive difference to your game, as shown.

This Real Madrid team just isn't set up to let Bale do what he does best. Every time they break out from the back and have a chance to unleash him the pass goes out to Ronaldo instead who either loses it or shoots

Did you read the reports that said he basically can't speak Spanish for shit, and has given up trying to integrate?

Amazing that Michael Owen actually gets paid to be a pundit.

“Well there’s been some crosses from the right hand side.... and two goals from crosses from the right hand side..... erm, um”... yeah, that’s all I’ve got. Someone else talk now please.

May as well have his waxwork dummy there.

Edit: no, wait, he’s got another nugget. Apparently Buffon is “tall and long” Too much information there Michael.

This is what scares me. It's why Barca going out was so bad too as despite what sort of form they're in, they always have the likelihood of finishing the tie at the Nou Camp and Messi can potentially get them a result at any ground. Not one of these teas left looks head and shoulders above the rest, which is a shame. I guess you just have to hope Liverpool don't get Roma and will have to beat two tough teams to win.

If Liverpool get Roma, you also have to say they would have had the luck of the draws that you sometimes need to win the CL. The only tough team they've had to face at any stage in the competition has been Man City and you have to give them credit for that but to be honest, they seem to know how to approach Man City so their path to the final of the Champions League could end up (if they get Roma) being relatively simple, in consideration of what they could have had. Not saying Roma would definitely be easy, they beat Barca 3-0 after all but anyone would take playing them in the semi final of this competition that's for sure.

Bale hooked at half time. He looked a shadow of his former self.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him back at somewhere like Man City.

Bale off. No shock.
Can't really see him ever recapturing any kind of form whilst he is at Madrid. I just don't think they use him properly.
