No but then again I didn't think they would have got the best of De Bruyne or Silva either.

They didn’t entirely. They by passed them a bit and had a shitload of luck early does in both legs.

Their only hope against either of the other semi finalists is hit on the break. It kick started their ties against City and Roma ( this is over ) but if they fall behind early, as opposed to riding their luck then getting the first goal, they are in deep schtuck

Hope you're right.

I will say, fair fucks to them though. I don’t like Liverpool in the slightest but got to tip your hat to them. So positive and they will always leave it all out on the pitch no matter what, it seems. They have brought their game when it has mattered, luck/shit opposition or not.

Biggest one man team I have ever seen. Soon as he comes off, and also the draw at WBA at the weekend when he comes off. Pool are absolutely nothing without Salah.

as a tottenham fan i am quite conflicted now....is this just enough for them to expend all their energy, go through and then lose to chelscum....blast.....we need to just win our next few games!!!

Liverpool are in a different category to City in this sense....the collective is greater than the whole...Citeh have spent an absolute fortune, Liverpool have spent a lot more than us but no where close to the 2 Manc teams

They've also had the piss easiest run to a Champions league final I can remember. Besides City - who didn't turn up at Anfield thanks to their bus being attacked they haven't actually played a single team of real note all competition.

Meanwhile all the big teams have either knocked each other out or capitulated at various points.

Well that's made the 2nd leg a bit interesting
A tiny bit. But Liverpool won't make the same mistake Barca made - mostly because Klopp will never allow his team to shell completely.

Still, better than a dead tie.

City wasn't about the bus....they did the same in the league....

I just like how the mood has shifted a bit. Should have been tie over but if they concede the first goal at Roma then they'll have work to do.

I think if Roma got one more they'd have had a chance but to come back is a massive ask.

The one thing they've got going for them is not one but two away goals. They can afford to go a bit gung ho now.
