Fair play to Liverpool, we might not like it but I think it's fair to hold your hands up and say they're a seriously good side

The major difference is that they bought a good player in the summer, and over the course of the season he's turned into arguably the form player in World football. That's make a hell of a difference to any side, but with Firmino massively improving as well, they just insane going forward.

Yeah, Roma played into their hands, but this is a side that beat Man City twice over two legs.

Klopp is an incredible manager

Yeah Firminho has been overshadowed by Salah insane form this season. But Firminho has been excellent. He scores with his feet, with his head, he links up play and what I'm most impressed about is his work rate. You can see him chasing down players in their own half and 20 seconds later he's running the other way leading the counter attack. I never imagined he'd become that player to be honest.

Fair play to Salah but factor in a not given foul by Mane in the build up for the first goal and one offside.

As always it's the victor that gets the spoils and the headlines dont tell the true story, United were lucky not to have Valencia sent off on Saturday and Chelsea were at 1-0 when Southampton had what should have been a goal disallowed.

Not bitching by saying we don't get a bit of luck now and again, we do to an extent but by crikey it's the big boys that always seem to get those decisions in the big matches.

Looking at how Klopp acts and behave during Liverpool's games. Always engaging with the liverpool crowd, smiling, riding the players to do better and encouraging them when they attempt at goal or if they are under by a goal or two. This makes a whole differense than a passive manager who sits still and grumps instead of encouraging the team to do better.

Wash your mouth. :yuck:
Ha ha yes I know certainly I'm not slagging off our club we have done well but certainly can see and respect what a rival has done I think they can win the CL but more importantly they believe they can win it that's the difference.

Kane has the same attributes score with either foot and head plus work's hard for the team, what I like about them is the movement of the front three so fast, dynamic and exciting compared to how predictable and narrow we are at times.
The way the premier league is shaping up over the next few season's it promises to be exciting and varied with some good team's all putting together a challenge.

Should Madrid get through to the final I'd put money on Sergio Ramos getting booked within 5 minutes of the start by putting a reducer on Salah, and then going and scoring later in the game.

Klopps tactics are simple, but still very, very effective. 4-3-3, hard work, technically decent, pace on the counter. On the other hand, you could argue that if we had Salah, it would be us on the way to the CL final.

As Chelsea did in 2012, you just know they will go on and win the whole thing.

With Naby Keita (he`s pretty impressive) and a top class goalkeeper they will be even better next season.

With Chelsea and Arsenal getting new managers, City and United most likely spending a fortune once more, we could fall behind if we are not careful.

Are we going to retain our top players? Will the chairman and the board invest in the top players that would allow us to take that final step? While I would love to be wrong, I have to say I have serious, serious doubts.

We can only focus on ourselves.

I strongly believe we can do it if we recruit in the right areas. We need a top quality midfield player (possibly two), a left back to replace Rose, a back up forward and Aurier or KWP to make a step up. If those four things happen we've got a good chance injuries permitting.

Means they have to start again and spend to catch up which puts them at a disadvantage.

It's a worry I agree with you. But Arsenal have some major remodeling to do and possibly Chelsea as well. We've seen in the past, with ourselves as a glaring example, that it takes a few seasons to fully integrate a new host of players. I have no doubt in my mind that City and United once again will spend a fortune though and if Liverpool can continue where they are ending this season they'll be a title contender next season.

Also what is with the" Liverpool hardly played anyone decent in the CL"? They can only beat what in front of them. They trashed City, while we got dumped out by a much inferior Juve side and knocked out of the FA cup by United.

If Liverpool win the CL i hope I never have to read the small time sentence "we never would have won it anyways" on here after being knocked out of the CL or EL.

You have a point but things have started to change the last couple of years though. All the money being thrown in to the EPL have started to close the gap between the football aristocracy (RM, Barca, Bayern etc...) and the english clubs. It was very notable this year with 5 english teams making it past the group stages. We do for a fact have a bigger chance of winning it now than before or possibly ever before.

Roma should have to play their home leg behind closed doors. Seriously time to put this violence shit to bed. Why cant you guys be more like Americans and shoot up a post office once in a while - and leave sport alone?

We dont have the pace out wide to counter like their front 3 do.

Erisken should be our guy in the middle getting the ball and picking the pass but we have to accommodate alli so eriksen gets shafted to the left. If we didnt play with 2 DMs all the time we may find we could counter at speed if we got some pacey players out wide.

Edit: we have moura and son but he likes to play 2 dms.

Yes that is very true obviously every manager has his style and maybe in the future if players become available to us we may see something similar.

Any luck we do get we tend to offset it by making stupid errors and shooting ourselves in the foot, mate, tbf.

Until we iron out those wrinkles and improve at being clinical in crunch games for silverware, then it is what it is.
