Sounds silly but it makes me proud that Modric can speak English because he played for us for a few years.

He’s technically the best footballer I’ve ever watched in person and he deserves absolutely everything he wins.

thing is that i actually did. and thing is i actually played through a game with a fractured foot + torn ligament before as well. i mean everyone has a different pain threshold but i would definitely play on regardless of how painful it was. its CL final FFS
Do you seriously think Salah begged out of the game even though he could continue?

Carvahal too?

I've no sympathy for Liverpool. Klopp has known ever since he's been there he doesn't have a keeper. He keeps spending in areas where he doesn't need strengthening. Tonight this defeat is on Klopp.

You start with a top class reliable goalkeeper and build on that....no use having star strikers if you have Stevie Wonder keeping goal. Klopp has no conception of a solid defence...it is his Achilles heel and will continue to haunt him throughout his career....

Signing Gareth Bale back makes perfect sense, he solves so many issues.

He can play all along the top, he can cover Kane up front and he can even save us £50m on Sessegnon by playing at left back

Can just imagine the look on Bale's face when Poch tells him he's playing Left Back against Stoke away in the Carabao Cup fixture in wintry November 2018... :shifty:

i dont get it. salah got taken out because of a dislocated shoulder? dislocated shoulder is not even that serious of an injury imo?
I'm surprised he even tried to continue. A dislocated shoulder is extremely painful.

If Bale starts instead of Isco, Madrid don't miss two open goals...
Possibly, or those chances are never created. Anything that change the course of the ball changes the whole outcome of football match. To value the likely hood of thing happening I think you have to look at the general pattern and momentum. I think after Salah coming off Madrid were in control. If Benzema didn't score, odds are Madrid would of still scored first. When Madrid scored it changes the complexion of the game, Madrid players lose focus Liverpool get eager to quickly level the game etc, its always a dangerous time for the team thats ahead.

I think early on the Liverpool press made them uncomfortable but the combination of Salah going off and the fact you just can’t press for that long when your body is coursing so much adrenaline, meant it was always going to be a short burst.

I think it’s no coincidence that Klopp loses finals. It’s just difficult to play the way he wants them to with that much nervous energy draining the legs.

Finals come at the end of a season too, so the high press can take its toll as we’ve experienced ourselves, in the closing stages of a campaign

As others have said, and speaking from personal experience, it's fucking painful and might not 'pop' back into the joint. Every challenge after that is going to be excruciating.

Then there are all the other things that can come with it - collarbone injury, nerve damage, the loss of sensation or horrible tingly feeling down the arm, neck damage, when I did mine the first time I managed to tear my latissimus dorsi muscle so that whole side of my body froze up and I couldn't put any weight on it - that would totally hinder you playing a game of football.
