They won’t win it, I’m 100% sure on that
Well you’re not, are you? You’re just completely guessing.

They are absolutely frightening. You’d have to make them favourites with the squad they have, they should really be winning it with that side.

You’ve got to give it to them - they’ve spent their unlimited money well in the end. :(

I know but this year it feels like it’s extra hard but also it feels like almost any team can win it
Its always tricky, I actually think its more likely to be a small breakout winner than any other year from what ive seen.

At this stage, a QF against United, a team we played off the park twice, would be fantastic.

Juventus are the favourites right now. Honestly if we did get Man City I wouldn’t be that scared, I know 99% of you all will disagree with me but on a 2 leg I think we can go through if we get them. Overrated in Europe imo

If the first leg was away from home they could put it out of sight before we even got It back to the Lane.

Man City would destroy us on current form.

It’s amazing what unlimited money can do.

Results like that are just embarrassing for modern football in general. Knock out stages of the top club competition in the world, and an oil club like them destroy the opposition like that? Games like this make the entire sport less meaningful, to the point where it’s hardly sporting at all.
It didn't help that a wet lettuce would have put in a better performance in goal for Schalke.

I think the main factor is just that Schalke are pretty poor and got an artificially easy group. It's the change UEFA made a few seasons back to put the champions of the top leagues in Pot 1, rather than the eight best-ranked clubs. That meant Schalke's Pot 1 team was Lokomotiv Moscow, who are crap, and they got through almost by default. In the old system they'd have got Real, Atletico, Barca, City, Juventus or PSG instead, they'd have gone out in the group stage to them and Porto, and this wouldn't have happened.

And then people in the media go on about how Poch hasn't won anything.

Not sure whether to watch Liverpool against Bayern, or Barca against Lyon. I want to see Liverpool lose, but it's probably not going to be a very good game.
