Next little idea. Although I'm booked on the TC package (hopefully) I'm also the in south of France til the day, so I'm only actually flying back. I'm flying from Marseille on the 13.55 which gets me into Madrid 15.45 local time (although it is Ryanair!!)

I booked the flight a few weeks ago and it cost me £30. It is now c£85. The early morning flights to Marseille from Gatwick etc can be had for £52-£70 odd. All depends on whether you want to risk the connections etc. means if you are willing to risk it then it could be £150 to get there. Getting back is another matter though.

Having been on a couple of Thomas Cook CL packages, I've got a lot of faith in their service. has been spot on so far to be honest. As I've provisionally booked them again this time then let's hope I'm saying that again in 3 weeks time!

Hope so as I’ve done the same just hope there’s enough seats on plane/s for all who want to travel

Hope you are right as I have no obvious alternatives!

So, with tickets being purchased on Wednesday, how long after purchase do they inform me if I’ve been successful or not?

We’re phase two as dad was 3 points short so I have no idea what my chances of getting in are.

Annoyingly other halfs mother is 70 that weekend so we're are heading to Glasgow, although have dispensation to watch the game.

Other half has been talking about booking the flights for months.

And now due to CL and desperate people flying around the flights have rocketed. Silly lady. Silly indeed.

From VLC airport to Joaquim Soroya or Nord is a piece of piss, certainly on the metro. There are a couple of metro connections close by that are maybe 10 minute walk at the most...probably 20 mins on the metro, you may have to change and yes a car/taxi is about the same...which VLC station you taking the train from??
I’m getting the train from Joaquin Sorolla. Sounds like it should be relatively easy, I have over an hour between landing and my booked train. Is there anything I need to know outside of what you’ve said?

Any idea if stubhub is genuine ?

Also uefa say they ban people from entering the stadium with these tickets . How do they know , do you need to register your ticket ?
Stubhub is genuine. Still £4K for a ticket. If you get a real ticket you’ll be fine I think. They just say this

I’m going to VLC on the Sunday night around 10pm as fly back to London on Monday at 12. Planning on staying at an airport hotel unless city centre is not so far from airport?

The centre is about 20 minutes from the airport

Good a time as any to make my first post... (lol signed up in 2007)

I'll be in Valencia from Wed 29th to the following Tuesday, booked a train to Madrid for the Saturday morning. Staying in an airbnb near the old town, plan to spend most of my time on the beach.

Ok thanks mate . Problem with stubhub is they want to deliver tickets to the hotel?

Is that normal

I think so... When we played Inter in 2010 i got ticket from viagogo and they delivered to hotel in Milan. Worked ok barring hotel trying to give my tickets to another group of spurs fans.

At 4K a ticket though I’d be slightly wary of something going wrong.

FYI I emailed the club asking for a stadium map and information on where the ticket prices are located and they replied:

"That information will be made available ahead of the ticketing period. It is not currently available".

Mental this information isn't already available, we're booking at a group and want to know the difference between £60 and £154 priced seats.
