Champions League Knockout Stages

Well there was one other game last night, ending in Valencia 1 -1 Schalke. Raul scored Schalke's goal last night and broke the record for the most goals in European competition history. That's now 71 goals for Raul across those competitions. Incredible.

This is how the last 16 plans out (English teams highlighted in bold).

Huge game tonight. Despite Barcelona's terrific form this season, I have a feeling this could be Arsenal's time. Third time lucky maybe :shrug:.

I know I will get probably alot of stick for this and I will feel really dirty myself, but I hope Arsenal will win tonight. With Barcelona out I think there is no team we cant beat in this competition. Also I think with all the competitions Arsenal would still be in it might even enhance our chances of finishing above them, as one bad game for them and we are right behind them. Their squad is not as good as ours and one fatal injury to one of their key players and I think they cant cope as good as we did/do.

Ok now I'm off to wash my mouth with some burning acid liquid.

I honestly believe you have a valid point there, a win win situation no matter what the result is. :beer:

I understand your point but if Arsenal can beat Barcelona, then we can beat Barcelona. I don't want Arsenal to progress further than us in the competition even if they knock out Barcelona. In order to win the competition we have to beat the very best.

Wish Rizzoli was the ref in our match last night. Already one of the best in Europe despite being only his 3rd year in CL.
