I think it's clear that out run it would have been RM, Barca and then Man U in the final.

Further reason why I am amazed that people are ranting about last night's result/

Fernando Torres will never score for Chelsea.

EDIT: He'll probably score his first goal against us.

Those officials behind the goal are useless. What is the point of them.

Incredible that all 4 ties are almost finished in the first leg. Unless something extraordinary happens, this should be the semi finals:

Schalke 04 v Manchester United
Real Madrid v Barcelona

Really shit QFs all round. Rooting for Shalke but really, whoever wins the Barca-Real semi will butt-fuck whoever they face in the final.

Maybe yanited can park the bus and grind out 120 turgid minutes of a 0-0 and try and luck it on pens but other than that outside chance, the comp is over.

Don't knock them. They gave us two penalties against Twente.

Hopefully they help us out next week.

I wonder what the odds are for none of those teams making the semi-finals. It must be at least 10000-1.

What a waste of time next week is.

It's not a waste of time.

It's our last Champions League game for possibly quite a while.
It's against probably the second best team in the world.
We have literally no pressure on us.

It's a perfect reason to celebrate our success in the competition this year and bow out gracefully against an amazing club with some world class players on the biggest stage possible. It's a great game, and one each and every fan should embrace. Like when someone you know dies, you should concentrate on celebrating the life that came before, not the death.
