I'd love Spurs to sign Olic, am i alone?
I thought that too, or at least someone like that. Someone who doesn't give the defenders a moments rest. None of our strikers put in the shift of an Olic, Tevez or Rooney.

Robben and Sneijder have to be feeling pretty smug right now after being forced out of Madrid.

I never understood why Madrid wanted rid of them, can only have been to save on wages as both are easily good enough to be in that squad, probably starting their fair share too.

VdV who was also nearly forced out has been one of their best players in recent months and they haven't lost when he has played in the league. Sneijder and Robben were effectively replaced by Kaka and Ronaldo and I don't think they deserved to be sitting on the bench so were right to move even though Sneijder really didn't want to leave.

From the players' pov yes, but Madrid seemed ridiculously desperate to offload them, I think even the manager wanted to keep them. As I said before, must have been down to the wages they were on IMO.

I love the way Bayern heads never went down, even at 3-0 when they needed 2 goals. Great determination. Only one winner after Robben's goal.

Have to agree, stark contrast to our recent games v Man U, when we more or less gave up after going 2-0 down in the CC quarterfinal this season (when they were not playing anywhere near as well as in the first half last night) and after they equalised to make it 2-2 last season.

Yes. Also, Real Madrid had to reduce their squad to meet La Liga requirements, so they had to sell. With Kaka coming in, it was probably between Guti, Snejder and Van der Vaart for the back up place - and Snejder was the most bankable asset out of the three, with higher bids from other clubs.

Robben was quite unpopular among most of Real players who were very annoyed by his selfish and arrogant attitude, which they could not accept from someone like him (a newcomer from abroad who was not a Galactico).
