I've never understood why the linesman and goal line official stand on the same side of the goal. Surely it would make more sense if he was on the other side?

Di Maria gets booked for kicking the ball away and complains to Webb that it was because he didn't hear the whistle, when obviously if he hadn't heard the whistle he would've kept the ball and surged forward instead of kicking it to the stands.

I was going to say Webb was absolutely spot on tonight with the decisions in what was a very hard game to officiate but Marcelo really should've been sent off and was a very very lucky boy to come away with only a yellow card IMO

Because the brilliant minds of FIFA thought it changed the referees diagonal too much when he was on the other side.

My solution? Keep the AAR on the other side and tell the ref not to change his damn diagonal.
