:( That is sad news indeed. Chas, together with Dave, was truly a part of our great club's culture & history.

Rest in peace, you much - loved son of North London.

Omg - Gutted to hear this! Chas & Dave were part of my Spurs culture growing up. Not only that but growing up in Edmonton/Enfield they were family favourites too. Rest in Peace Chas & thanks for the memories :( :(

Glad this gets its own Thread.

Bowie and Prince can stand aside, Chas will show them how to do a Knees Up.

Very sad news. Club legend. These guys made it much easier getting my boy to follow Spurs with their catchy memorable tunes, he knew most of the lyrics by the time he was 6 years old. Sad Chas will never see Spurs at NWHL and we'll never have another tune.
RIP dude.

Make no mistake, this is a big bit of Tottenham gone. Without people like chas and dave, the pubs on the high road (and the characters in them), the chicken shops, the away game regulars, we are just a brand.

I was gutted they diddnt play at the last game of whl and hoped they would open the new one. Shame.

The songs will always be part of us and the clubs history. We have been a brand for a while now - just moving with the rest of them. I always find it fascinating though, how certain people can have a profound effect on you, without even knowing them. How I feel today is a little akin to losing a family member - Chas was one of us & was one of those, along with Dave Peacock who gave our club soul. Whenever I hear any C & D song in my head I'm thinking "Spurs". Loved them!

"We're In Trouble", it predates mobile phones and brings back memories of your missus ringing the pub phone and the barman asking who's here and who's not here before picking up the handset. Very nostalgic.

Then there's the argument set to music "Who D'you Think You're Talking To?". Great stuff.

The Billy Nick is still there...looks like when the police raid a pub and shut it down....although its always looked like that on non match days.

Just told my old dear about Chas and she properly choked up...last she'd heard was he'd had cancer and was recovering, so it came as a real shock to her.
