Nah. They are small. Literally I still more assnal and Spam shirts in most areas of London. Not that you actually see many shirts worn as fashion items in London really. In fact most football shirts I see are Barca or AC Milan shirts worn by people in the newly arrived immigrant populations. Can't fault them for their taste I suppose.

They bought some shiny things these this last 15 years or so and well done to them for that, if one can consider that achievement worth noting, and they get mentioned in the title race etc. Not small as such. Ask most people though and they'd instinctively blurt out Yanited or even Livepool, who have had some fallow years recently, as big clubs. Chelsea...not so much. Not even in London. Maybe Thailand or wherever, sure.

Not just that. I live a 15 minute walk from SB. You wouldn't know there's a football club except on match days. Clearly they have a marketing arm that brings in the dollars from Asia etc and they have a billionaire owner willing to spend his way to trophies. But he goes? They were hours away from going bust after their previous regime decided to rack up debt that would rival a small African nation in order to conquer the Cup Winner's Cup. And before that episode? Perpetually looking for change down the back of the sofa to keep the club going.

So yeah, show me the UEFA ranking or their turnover and fine. I readily concede. They are on a different plane to us but it's all artificial. If people want to celebrate their accomplishments then leave it to the fans in Kuala Lumpur or New York or wherever. I'm a Spurs fan and admit my bias. Me thinking they're small time and a piece of rancid shit club is not bias though. It's a bald statement of fact that any Spurs fan knows.

The only visceral feeling that a football club exists in the area is on European nights tbh when the away fans all descend on Earl's Court to have a few drinkies or a bite to eat. Otherwise, even on matchdays, you wouldn't know it other than along the back end of Fulham Road which is a teeny area in an already tiny, overpopulated part of London.

That's one of the most depressing looking buildings I've ever seen.

I know im in the minority but I really like the chelsea stadium. Im not a fan of the roof structure but the interior is really nice

Also from the fans point of view(i.e. not from the sky) the stadium does look really nice and it is like a monument with the aquaduct walkways.

I think there are too many fins but this(below) lit up in blue will look nice

I hate Chelsea more than anyone but perhaps it's my design/engineering background taking over but this stadium imo will look nice if built problem with it will be cost

The architects (Herzog & De Meuron) they got are pretty good architects when it comes to monumental design, as much as it pains me to say, I think their stadium will be pretty cool to look at and photogenic on top of that. Scum club though. The important thing for atmosphere is more the layout of the pitch seating and that's where I think our stadium will have the upper hand.

They are limited with the space they can build thus the stadium is an odd shape and the stands are different sizes.
Whatever anyone say's it will be totally different to anything that came before.
