They are limited with the space they can build thus the stadium is an odd shape and the stands are different sizes.
Whatever anyone say's it will be totally different to anything that came before.
I don't get why limited space has to affect internal shape.

He is a smarmy prick. I knew his brother a while back. Taught me English for my A-levels way back when. Lovely guy.

His brother may well be a lovely guy, so is mine, but I can't forgive him for the shitstorm he tried to get us mixed up in a year or so ago, when he tried everything he possibly could to get us branded as racists, because we chose to call ourselves 'Yids' (completely ignoring the Nazi salutes which the fans of his own club are well known for...)

Calling me chelski was a bit harsh though, I hate them with a passion!

I didn't, only the other guy. With you, I only posed the question. You were just a possible. You're probably still offended though.

If you look at the new stadium from above you will see it's sort of a triangle shape with one corner cut off. This means that one side is sort of bigger than the other.

That looks like someone built a prison out of matchsticks!
They've clearly taken inspiration from the Methodist (I think) church just a few feet down the road from them near the Broadway station. I doubt they'll be offering free hot lunches to the local homeless population in the winter though.

I just can't see how the local residents won't object against it. It's not in keeping with anything in the area
This is going to be the mother of all wrangles. Might as well have told the locals that their £1m+ shitboxes houses are now going to welcome to the area the new Refugee holding centre, SE sewage recycling plant and Ebola research labs all wrapped into one.

The amount of jowl wobbling that will occur might set off the San Andreas faultline!

Oh I agree. Just mentioned it because it's so difficult to reconcile the two. They even look alike but one is a lemon and one is a diamond.

I read that it is inspired by a Cathedral, Westminster possibly.

Inspired by maybe, inspiring? Not in a million.

Can you imagine how filthy a building like that will get in that area?

Bad enough they have all that filth on the inside, now they want to advertise it?

Right. The thing will be black as tar in 6 months. Likely cost hundred of faazends a year to keep it clean. Meh, no skin off my nose but having that thing dominate the skyline would be depressing if I lived in the area.

Reminds me of this:

19267509.jpg

which is the concourse of Berlin Olympiastadion. Appropriate that Chelsea are going for a Nazi architecture vibe...

It's obviously this bit of Westminster Abbey that they've cited as an influence too:
