What a load of rubbish. There's no way Chelsea would do us such a massive favour as to pay us £12M for one of our squad members.

I don't think that Dembele is a like for like replacement for J O Mikel

Maureen tends to have a balanced squad even if a bit bloated

Am I the only person who think if Dembele went to Chelsea, though unlikely, that he would be tearing things up without the pressure of having to be creative

Something odd going on with Chelsea at the moment. They have been linked with Witsel, Alderweireld and now Dembele.

The press seem to think they are keen on going Belgian after the success of Courtois and Hazard. If this was remotely true, and Witsel is very close to a move to Juve btw, then between Chelsea and Chadli's wishlist, the whole Belgian national team could be playing in London next season :p

Could quite see Dembele being the monster he is capable of being under Mourinho's guidance.

Agreed, he has the potential to be a wonderful player. Reminds me of Zidane, the way he protects the ball so strongly, and glides effortlessly past players.

In my opinion, Dembele needs to play in a team with wingers. The space he makes in the middle draws the opposition in, creating spaces out wide.

To play to Dembele's strengths - and he is probably our most naturally gifted player - we need to play a conventional 4.4.2. Dembele and Bentaleb in the middle, Lennon and Townsend out wide, and Ade and Kane up top. That team would destroy oppositions.

Haven't our ITK's said we simply don't deal with chelsea?

Which if the case presumably goes both ways

Anyway. If he were to go there watch him become the player we all know he can/ ought to be

If that's the case then what would it say about our coaching methods?

Can't really answer that. Siggi was another one who was a tremendously gifted footballer we discarded who has done very well since. The frustration with Dembele for me has always been his reluctance to shoot or play the killer pass, both of which he is easily capable of. Maybe fear of failure stifles him at times.

I don't know what's more bizarre Chelsea after Dembele ( who did give them problems and help dominate there midfield) or the Prossie the Toure brothers double teamed. Also what's up with there mum, with her choice of names Yaya and Kolo can she only grasp a couple of letters.

Personal I do think Dembele has played a lot of good games for us yes his frustrating but he has a lot of ability and I think 12 mil is way to cheap. He is strong and is a good option for us.

Back to the Toure family and footballers in general if your going to cheat make sure she is not dog ugly you idiots earn a fortune.

Dembele just isn't good enough at passing, he cannot switch the play nor is he a one touch passer. Add to that the lack of shooting ability and defensively he has declined since his hip became a problem.

I can see why Mourinho may want him in his squad, as a backup player and useful for counter attacking or holding the ball in games. I don't think we need a 12 million backup player who doesn't fit our style of play.

I am all for youth but we need some muscle in midfield, otherwise we just have mason and Bents, if we sell the rest. He was our third best CM last year. We need to sell Paulinho, Capoue. Holtby before him.
