Fucking hell. If this happens, then it's classic Chelsea.

I suppose beating Fiorentina would be easier for us.....(n)

But then we might play them in the Capital One Cup Final :(

We're told Chelsea are now in talks with Fiorentina over Juan Cuadrado. No formal offer yet. @SkySportsNewsHQ

CHELSEA IN CUADRADO TALKS

Sky sources can reveal that Chelsea are in talks with Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombian international was heavily linked with Manchester United in the summer, but Blues' boss Jose Mourinho is thought to be interested with Mohamed Salah set to leave the club.

Total fucking waste of talent if he goes there, but alas he will probably follow the money.

Lol so much for Mourinho constantly saying he'd do no business and wasnt looking at anyone in January for the past 3 months. BTW, if anyone actually believed that, I have a lot of bullshit to sell to you....

Pro tip, Jose. Just because you say something 10000 times, does not make it true.

Also, wasted talent. Just like Schurle and Salah if he goes there. De Bruyne is lucky he got out permanantly.

I reckon this is an astute signing for Chelsea as he can comfortably play both RB and RW. As Chelsea only have 3 full backs - he can cover Ivanovic comfortably at RB, and deputise for Willian or maybe start ahead of him in the RW slot. They can then let go of Schurrle or Salah and be even stronger.

I agree. Ivanovic hasn't been at his best this year, Salah is clearly not rated and Mourinho/Schurrle had a falling out the last I read. Plus Willian has been solid but no more. A signing that makes sense.

Cuadrado really isn't suited to RB. At a stretch he can be employed as a wing back in a formation with a back 3, but he's no RB. To be honest, Willian's more suited to covering at right back than Cuadrado due to how defensive he plays at times.

He is perfect for Barcelona as a RB though they do use DM's instead of CBs at the back

True! Wingers as full backs and DMs as centre backs. What next? Centre backs as keepers?

Who has played a grand total of 0 minutes in the Premiership.

Chelsea don't trust their youngsters in meaningful games which is why very few will make it. Where are the likes of McEachran? What's happened to the highly rated Chalobah? Will Bamford ever get a chance? Will the likes of Loftus-Creek, Solanke, Feruz be forgotten in years to come?

They love a bit of trading, it's definitely helping their accounts meet FFP requirements. Buy for X, loan out for a small fee, sell for a bit more than X. They also love hoarding so that others can't buy these players, which controls the market to a certain extent and allows them to decide where prospects they acquire can go (often Vitesse!) on loan or in the future when they can sell to whoever they choose.

I could understand this if Cuadrado was in his early 20s but he will be 27 next season, he needs to be playing regularly.

LOL, who, who, who, who, who and who? Good point, well made. I just can't see this guy taking ever keeping Ivanovich or Azpiliquta out of an EPL starting 11.

Bamford will stay at 'Boro permanently if they come up.
Good striker, very good record in Championship & League 1, but Chelsea will always buy big money foreigners....

Chalobah has been on loan at Burnley since start of season - and made just 4 appearances. Thing it sums everything up if he couldn't get in side when they are struggling!

McEachran is out at Vitesse Arnhem.... 6 appearances

I knew where they all were ;) however in terms of featuring for Chelsea they are nowhere, but that's ok for them as they are at the top of the table and they don't need to rely on their youngsters.

Only need to look at Ryan Mason to know that still being out on loan at 21 doesn't mean parent club career is over....

Chelsea is somewhat a difference case, Chelsea is paying their youth players more than Ryan Mason and some of our youth players in the first team

Piazon
Loftus-Cheek
Christensen
as well others

Are being paid £20k to £30k a week
