My mate has a contact on the inside at the Bridge. Location wise, they very much prefer Twickenham, and of course money is no object. However, the RFU are facing HUGE resistance from the local residents, the local council and the MP, who are firmly against Chelsea or any football club using Twickenham.
Therefore Wembley is their back up plan, and looks likely to be their home for a few seasons.
Let's hope Levy has a cunning plan. Sadly I think we will be trotting up the M1

Not surprised. If I lived near Twickenham I wouldn't want that bunch of drooling knuckle draggers turning up every other week.....and then there's the supporters.

Not being funny. But shouldn't they wait for planning permission before moving out?

I have also noticed that the media are now reporting we will need to play away from WHL for 2 seasons. I always suspected as much but the club were initially saying it would only be the one, but have recently started to subtlety change their language to allow for 2

2 years away honestly don't know how many local pubs and certain businesses will survive that.
You could be returning to a dust bowl.

Let's wait and watch FA say no to us on grounds of "we can't allow a PL side to play regular football at the national stadium" and then announce a couple of months later that Chelsea will be playing there.

I think you will find that the club were initially saying there will be no season
away from WHL.Levy and lewis contempt for the fans as usual.

Oh dear, talk about dragging the name Wembley through the mud. I'd hate the national stadium to be associated with that lot.

It has been well known that since all the delays and redesign that the only way to do this within a decent timeframe is for us to move out whilst they build the stadium. Hardly a big issue in the grand scheme of things.

Chelsea have had their plans for a move to a different site like battersea rejected and are forced to rebuild their stadium on same site and thus will also have the same issue.

Shame if they get Wembley, but I always suspected we would go for MK Dons anyway.

Levy should have had Wembley signed and sealed, Chelsea have a plan b, we have dicked about as per.
With respect, that's crap. We couldn't make firm plans until we got the legal battle with Archway sorted. (Their objection to the CPO was found to be "totally without merit", i.e. they were dicking about, not us.)
CFC have not yet got planning permission for their stadium, so they aren't in a position to make concrete plans to hire Wembley. The story is just click-bait.
