In my world Chelski lose badly to Citeh in the middle of the period in which Sarri has further undermined the players at that club. And we know how that turns out don't we?

Lamela doesn’t merit a place in this squad anymore, awful tonight and at Fulham, just doesn’t offer anything

Lamela’s the best at moving his limbs like he’s the Roadrunner but not actually going very far.

Oh yeah...Joe Cole’s a ****. Pass it on :shifty:

No. Clearly not.

I said I've experienced the thrill of watching your team be the best - over and over and over.

But I've rarely been prouder of a performance than what I saw second half tonight.

Do people really not realise how on the ropes we were? Have been for months. Thought United was the knock out blow. Wasn't.

WE. KEEP. GETTING. UP. OFF. THE. CANVAS.

That is what sport is all about. Getting up off the canvas.

Like Ali when he LOST to Frazier. Didn't matter. He kept getting up off the canvas. That was what showed he had truly transcendent Champion qualities.

We are fucked and won't win fuck all this year. But if we keep doing what we did tonight I'm excited and, more importantly, want those players to know how fucking proud I am to support them.

I said exactly the same, ironically against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the night Leicester won the league. 3 years ago.

There comes a time where (to keep up your boxing analogy) getting knocked down, but getting up isnt enough. We need to start throwing some punches ourselves.

I think most are fed up with being a punchbag and would gladly take some actual success for once.

No you don't. Otherwise it's not luck.

If you toss a coin and call heads and it lands on tails 5 times in a row, is that because you've made your luck? No. It's because you're unlucky.

Liverpool are lucky that Salah only got injured at the end of the season leading in to the world cup and has otherwise played virtually every game. We are conversely unlucky that Kane and All have got injured at the same time that Son is on international duty.

To add to this, who you draw in any cup isn't luck that is "made".

We had a route of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City (had we won). Last year FA semi was Man Utd, the final before was Chelsea, final before that Man Utd, final before that Chelsea.

Meanwhile, others have had it easier (Arsenal vs Villa, Birmingham & Hull, Liverpool vs Cardiff, Man City vs Sunderland, Swansea vs Bradford, Man Utd vs Southampton, Villa & Crystal Palace etc). The list goes on, but none of that luck is "made" because we did the exact same thing but were thanked with a more difficult task.

was following on twitter and didn't know whether to laugh or cry when i saw this sequence of posts from @Allygold on twitter where he noted that rose (who had come on for Ben's injury) was signaling to come off and then the next post was that he had to play because sissoko was injured (having just come back from injury.
Tough one to take because of those frauds from s. london but it has been a bonkers season and it's amazing we have got this far in some sense!
I know we go again on Saturday but we are really down to the bare bones now!
IF Poch keeps us in top 4 this season he really is a bloomin magician!

PS if there was ever a year to need a lucky semi final draw it was this year but of course the oil fueled muppets got that draw

You can see why Eriksen and Toby want to leave. Arguably in the best footballing period of their career thus far and they won’t wanna say they haven’t won anything of importance when they retire.

People can say its for money however it’s really down to the fact we have zero strength in depth, our club/chairman/manager or whoever we claim is preventing us from making ambitious signings and constantly shit the bed when it truly matters.

We haven’t had a lot of luck with injuries which is well documented but it’s looking very much like going into next season with two key players leaving on the back of a miserable trophyless season.

No doubt Poch will still be here which is great. Can’t see United wanting to bring him in after yet another collapse in a big game.

We did "throw punches". We kept making Top 4. We finished above Chelsea the moment they had to deal with European football. We never collapsed. We keep on keeping on.

Have you not noticed how frustrated oppo fans are that we won't go away?

CELEBRATE THIS FUCKING TEAM.

They deserve it.

Not seen anyone mention it, so apologies if they have. But, we have scored in every single away game in every competition so far this season. That is an incredible stat in itself.

Ali got knocked down once against Frazier. He got up and lost. He went on to regain the heavyweight world championship winning a fight people were saying he was going to get killed in and then beat Frazier twice.

Comparing this Tottenham side to Muhammad Ali is, well, ever so slightly stretching it a bit!

Henry Cooper is a better comparison. Tried to mix it with the big boys and looked half decent for a round or two but ultimately always came up short and was never really in the discussion when the prizes were being handed out!

He also suffered with injuries too!:ROFLMAO:

Yeah probably Chelsea deserved to win but we’re a horrible team to play against even with the injuries we just fight and I’ve never seen it from us pre Poch anyway hope he stays with us. We’ll win something but the odds are stacked against us with the money clubs and whatever it’ll just make it sweeter when it happens
Mickey Mouse trophy anyway fuck off

So what? We lost and rightly so over the 2 legs. Fact is we play against a club that pays twice the wages that we pay and we got nudged out missing 75% of our goalscorers.

Ashamed? Not even close.
