So Capoue, Adebayor, Rose and Townsend all missed games through injury? No mention of Kaboul there at all, which does seem to make it clear he's been dropped.

Let's be honest, with those front six, it's more of a 4-4-1-1 or a 4-4-2 than 4-2-3-1.

Lennon and Eriksen aren't playing as wingers.

Don't go changing
To try to please me
You never let me down before
I took the good times, I took the bad times
I love us just the way we are.

Why do I get the feeling he's going to make a few changes for this one. Can really see capoue and Chadli playing. I don't want any changes

Squad management involves changes.
Not changing a winning team is so last century.
Formation and personnel should be different
away to Chelsea
than at home to Everton
even apart from injuries and players returning.

Bit of an easy one this, same team as Sunday. They might be a little tired but we need consistency on the pitch and just be ready to make subs at key moments in the game.

Kaboul was on the bench Sunday

I'm sure when Kaboul missed a game or 2 it was for 'Private reasons' and not as a result of an injury and then, as Matt said above, for the Everton game he was on the bench.

And changing a winning team, a team who's just put in the best performance for about a season and a half, just because some twats think its unfashionable to do so, is plain f kin stupid.
Squad rotation should be about-
keeping players fit and avoiding tiring players out, no problem there.
Injuries, no problem there either (Chireches?)
And thats it as far as I'm concerned.
Your best team is your best team.
Trying to be bloody clever and changing things to try and avoid problems that may never happen only results in problems that otherwise could have been avoided ie dropping points or getting knocked out of cups because you play weaker teams against small clubs and then lose, then play full strength against the top boys and lose anyway as the players aren't familiar with each other.
Any team plays better by playing together more frequently not chopping and changing every week. That is a fact.
These players are in their prime.
This is another modern, wrap them in cotton wool and over analyse the game load of bollox imo. They aren't match fit, they need time to gel, oh fk they've play twice in a month now they're tired. Excuses excuses excuses.
Play the same bloody team.
We'll be lucky to get a result anyway but I'd rather see us play fast attacking football than an AVB try to defend and get thumped anyway shower of shit performance.
If we play 4231 I predict we WILL concede and we WILL NOT score.
Id rather we gave THEM something to worry about.

Fk I hate this modern 'footballs really complicated and Im so f kin clever you old dinosaur' nonsense.

Now I'm gonna get pissed, the old fashioned way :finger:

I think you were pissed before you started to write .
There is so much wrong with it I'm not sure where to begin.
Firstly your post is very and unnecessarily offensive.
You are stating your opinion which may or not be valid but it gains nothing from its abusive tone.
Much of it in no way refers to the points that I made.
Did I say we should revert to AVB style?
The team, played very well on Sunday
but whether this is our best team
or whether Pochinetto regards it as our best team is open to discussion.
I take it as a compliment to be regarded as one of the 'moderns.
I have supported Spurs for over 65 years and remember the Glory Glory days.
It would be two games in four days not a month.
Your best team is whatever best answers the questions likely to be posed by the opposition
especially against the league leaders away from home.
The premise that this was our best team is not valid.
It played well but against different opposition
under different circumstances.
Predicting what problems might occur is what managership is all about.
We're two down as I write.
Whether that proves my point or yours I'm not sure.
