But he did? He committed one of the most stupidest tackles you'll likely see all season. Would Davies had made the same one? Who's to know but I highly doubt it.

But that's the whole point. He made one stupid tackle. That does not make the entire plan a ridiculous idea unless you believe that Pochettino know that he'd make a stupid tackle and liked the idea.

You could argue that this wasn't the game to take such a risk. I could see some sense in that argument, whilst not personally agreeing with it. But just dismissing it as a disaster is, in my view, way too simplistic and emotional an interpretation.

And did that one goal cost us the game?

Who can say? Going in at half time level instead of behind could have made a big difference. Would also have meant that our second goal would have put us in front rather than drawing us level. But who knows.

All I do know is that IMO trying something so different to what we know in a game of that magnitude was at best brave and at worst suicidal.

I think the problem was, that it was a massive decision to make in such a big game without it being tried out previously. Plus it negated Son in an attacking sense.

Anyway, it's over now. I didn't agree with the selection on the day and I still don't. But that's why I'm not our manager.

It's been posted loads of times this wasn't the first time Sonnys played as a WB.

I think Poch wanted to put out his best eleven players, not necessarily his best XI team. I can see why he thought Son would be effective on the left attacking Moses, but defensively you could see he was struggling. Also with Trippier, while a great crosser of the ball Walker's pace makes him a much more all round wing back, so I found it interesting that Poch went the way he did.

Saying all that, five individual errors (Toby lunge and Hugo positioning; Son lunge; Walker poor clearance and whoever left Hazard free) and wonder striker have done us. Probably more individual errors in one game than the whole of 2017, shame they happened in a Semi.

Yep, fucking disgrace. We certainly have our fair share of mindless idiots. The Club should identify them and set up a Battle Royale.
Yep all clubs have their share of scum.
Some more than others but there's always a few.
