It's actually really feckin' tedious that people keep bellyaching about what gets said in the Match Thread. Unless it's racist, downright disrespectful or extremely unfair, don't pay it any attention. We're not having tea at Claridges!
Shock horror that people get emotional over a local derby with so much on the line

The usual suspects moaning about it and rating posts retrospectively. Imagine how boring their life’s are. I’m sure they don’t even watch the match but just make notes of people’s posts and post smugly afterwards like the super fans they are

Great win, fuck off Chelsea.

Terrific goals today: Eriksen's was a classic, Dele's first was sublime, his second had a touch of quick thinking genius.

We won, so of course the Sky narrative is all our players have to leave and that we don't win away at other top six clubs enough.

Excluding Man City as they're so far and away ahead of everyone else, today was only the third away win in fixtures between top six clubs all season. Only Man Utd (at Arsenal) and Chelsea (at Wembley, which technically isn't even a home game for us) have an away win at another top six club, yet you never hear them say 'Liverpool need to win away at top six clubs', despite taking 5-0 and 4-1 hammerings this season.

It's funny, Jamie Redknapp said from next season they'll have to think of a different intro to Chelsea v Tottenham games. They never change their tune on the other things though.

Why can't people understand that everyone has different mentalities but still all love Spurs. I'm generally optimistic but if some people are pessimistic I get it.

Some posts are ridiculous, like the stuff slagging off individuals unnecessarily, but people fearing defeat after going a goal down in a fixture we haven't won since 1990 don't deserve ridicule imo.

I’m so bored of the moaning about moaning. It’s driven decent posters off the site being constantly called out and insulted just for having an opinion on a football forum - which is kind of the point of the whole place.

I'll do everyone who posts childish, unnecessary, inflammatory comments in the match thread a deal.

You stop posting complete bollocks every time we aren't 59-0 up with 99.9% possession, and I'll stop trolling you when we turn things around at the 60-70 minute mark, which happens more often than not.

Deal?

Perhaps we should start being a bit more ruthless with it then.
Every week we get people who say something that isn't exactly complimentary but it isn't exactly defamation either. And every week certain people just go on endlessly about the tone of the thread. The latter category are actually a lot more annoying than the first. Of course people who behave extremely badly should be banned, but it's the Match Thread - most of what gets said is fairly innocuous drivel said during periods of inconsistent play. Pointing it out over and over again is just pointless and annoying.

Never heard of a national coach doing that!

Hey if you're going to be sitting in the press box to watch a game as the Belgium coach and you can get paid for TV work before and after it sounds like a winning situation.

I don't really agree on calling individuals out. It wasn't just who you mention, but there are certainly the usual suspects that seem to take more pleasure in us losing than winning.
Neither do I & I felt the stress first half just as much as many but you've got to control those out bursts otherwise we're just another bunch of liverpiss imbeciles. Apologies to @yankspurs for singling out cos he was only feeling what a lot of us were

Funny to see Eriksen and Lamela just berating son rather than celebrating the third goal (initially)

Was super greedy though. But offered much more when moved wide.

I'm pretty sure it isn't those people who inflame things and I'm very sure that it's a small hardcore who persist with it to the point where they are going to be seen as trolling for the reaction. Going forward we'll deal with it as best we can

This is one stat that makes me wear a huge smile....
Tottenham have won more points in Premier League London derbies this season than any other side (16 - W5 D1 L2). (y)(y)

Here's one more... Christian Eriksen has scored 16 goals from outside the box since his Premier League debut in September 2013; the most of any current player in that time in the competition.

Happy days indeed........

All I need now is for someone to karate chop Conte in the throat whilst he’s doing his Sky interview and this will go down as one of my favourite ever football related days.

As Chelsea managers go, he's probably the least ****y one they've had for some time.

How anyone has the time to post and watch a football match at the same time for the most part is beyond me. Just stop saying stupid shit in the first place then people won't have an issue ...

That's not quite how I heard them.
