Look on the bright side that is Europa Cup qualification almost assured.

Before anyone laughs it wasn't that long ago we were working out the combinations of getting into the old uefa cup.
Anyone remember Prague?

I remember us clinging on to hopes of fair play league.

very interesting games coming up - just our luck that Wigan have a cup final before playing Arsenal, we've got to hope that Newcastle lose against QPR (which is the worst team they could play) so they can play the last day fighting Arsenal for survival. Chelsea have been given a great helping hand by Manu - firstly Manu didn't turn up against them as they had just won the league and secondly Fergie's retirement and Moyes appointment will disincentivize Everton for their last game.

In the FA cup does the runner up go to Europe or another place in the league (assuming Man City win, do Wigan get Europe anyway?). If that's the case Wigan may as well not turn up to the final, I know they want a cup, but they already have Europe so Premierleague survival would be priority (it always would be but knowing they've secured Europe would make it even more so)

yes runner up will still have Europa League. This is the FA cup - teams are always up for this and the manager can't exactly stop them being. There will be some tired legs come Tuesday's Arsenal clash. Hopefully no extra time and hopefully Chelsea don't beat Villa and their Europa final goes to extra time.

Obv know alot more than you if you actually think AVB has done a good job and Lennon is actually decent nevermind im away back to spurs odyssey atleast they know what they are talking about.

AVB hasnt done a good job so fuck off with comments like that mind i remind you he said 2 strikers would be enough how stupid he looks now since we have fucked up 4th place had he got us to a final i may have said different but we didnt we bottled it against Basle.

In regards to Lennon dont make me laugh i watch all the live pl,la liga and bundesliga games games and there are far better players than him out there how much has he scored and set up?

Your a muppet end of story would love to hear a comment like that on another spurs website as you would be slated.

Plenty of others saying far worse than me but nevermind your loss wanker come and speak to me when you actually watch proper football muppet i have played the game for 23 years in various levels so i am entitled to say what i think.

It would probably help if you thought before you posted.

A bridge too far though I suspect

Few seconds before that clip begins BAE had just played another lacklustre ball and lost possession so was fuming at that point.

nicely worked in the final third though. Chelsea showed how effective a lone striker can be when he gets good midfield support - well done soggy.

Torres was a really effective outlet for them, which is all you need when players like mata oscar and hazard-lights following in

Great finish. Lampard-esque

Good spirit combined with good fortune meant we hung on in there and grabbed an equaliser. In years gone by we would have not responded and may have lost by 2 or 3. On another day the Chavs would have taken a couple of the gilt edged chances they had in the first 15 mins of the second half when we were being overrun and the fat lady would have been singing.

Are we still in with a shout ? Only just but we must rely on others in the heat of a regelation battle.

We need to really turn the heat up on Arsenal with a win a Stoke but we must significantly improve our defending at corners, and Stoke is not the ideal place to not have those basics worked out. Every time Chelsea had a corner you feared the worst, much of it stems from the fact that it seems more often than not that our CB's are usually second to the ball and combined with this we always seem to be second to the knock downs, and why oh why don't we have two players on both posts at corners ???

It seems that we are not nearly as much threat at corners than all our opponents are against us in the entire Premier League. Why are we so vulnerable when defending corners yet so poor carrying a threat at them ?

I will end on a positive note though, we hung in there and I know he's left it late but it was Ade's best performance of the season by far.... Can he round it off with another two.

COYS lets grab 6 points from 2 anyway any how and let's see what happens.

Interesting game to watch.

I personally think Chelsea were the better side over 90minutes and the hazard/ramires chances should have been put away. None the less, great team spirit from our boys to come back into the game twice away from home and a SUPERB performance from Adebayor.

Ade - You could see from the start that he was bang up for it and he's awesome when he plays like that, but it's so rare. That goal was unbelievable.

Chelsea conceeded a draw last night by not bringing on Lampard, but that's what you get with Mr Rotation :)

Not in our hands now, but you just never know....

An almost satisfying thought was Chelsea happy to waste time at the end of the game to hold on to a point against a team they regard as their bitch.

Even with all the dirty money spent, the tide is changing.

a good battling team performance. it showed up some glaring weaknesses in defence though. Dawson was out of position often and couldn't cope with the pace, but he never gave up. verts didn't show leadership at set pieces. as mentioned on the box he often was not looking at the ball and slow to get into position. BAE looks off the pace defensively.

huddlestone for once his distribution at corners especially was poor. parker ran and ran and ran but again showed the difference against rameries who was excellent. maybe scottys time has now gone and is a back up next season rather than a starter.
bale was well marshelled by the best full backs in the league but still nearly nicked it. lennon not fit. ade shite for 25 minutes then a wonder goal gave him belief lets hope it continues for the last two games. holtby played well and I believe will grow into a quality player.

was surprised defoe didn't come on when we equalised.

overall it was a team performance which collectively covered up the weaknesses we had. six points to collect four for arsenal and Chelsea to collapse losing to villa and drawing with everton. one can hope.

Anyone know what was controversial about Siggys goal, as according to the Daily Express it was.
