Now im a huge Christian Eriksen fan and have been since he`s ajax days, but the Eriksen of today seems to be struggling with form or is it a case Eriksen going through the motions because he feels like their is no pressure on from others.
Is this a problem ?? , does he need another quality play-maker brought in to get the best out of him, or is it just a dip in form that he will come through.

I'm not sure he deserves a lot of the stick he is currently getting. He's not been as effective this season but the way he drifts into pockets of space between the lines is partly what opens things up for us and allows others to get into areas to cause mayhem.

He always goes thru periods like this.... he a very much a hot & cold player and i dont think that will ever change... and is probably the reason why he plays for us and not a top top club.

One of those players that can look like he isn't offering much but take him out the team and we're weaker for it. He may not be scoring goals and getting assists but his movement and ability to know when to move the ball is vital to us. If I had one complaint it's that he's a complete pussy and just doesn't have it in his locker to win a 50-50.

He was doing really well in his new role as a deeper-lying No 10 earlier in the season, but has been struggling since being moved out to the wing in an AM3 featuring no dynamic, in-behind types, but rather other playmakers. He does well in a balanced attack, but struggles to make his own space in this more congested format. This is just so obvious, so I can only assume that to Poch the rationale is that the positives to having Alli on the pitch is worth the detriment to balance and space opening for Eriksen and Lamela.

Point is, I don't think Eriksen being benched will solve anything, and if anything might only feed his frustration and confidence slip. He needs to be restored to his best position, even if it's with the "second" string in the long slew of midweek games we have coming up.

A lot is made of what position he plays, I always see people claiming we need to move him back behind the striker but firstly, aren't his stats better from the left? And secondly, the front three interchange throughout the match so isn't it a pointless argument to begin with?

I can't remember where I read it (I think it was SC) but there was a Danish guy who claimed that Eriksen will also be a hot/cold type player because of his attitude and he is even worse for Denmark. Eriksen clearly has an immense talent over dead ball situations but I rarely see him unlocking defences when we are most in need of something special (especially when the going gets tough in a 1-1 draw for example). Obviously there were a few last minute winners last season but he can't live off of those forever - We have a great team spirit where everyone fights for each other and he really needs to up his game if he wants to keep players such as Chadli, Son or Pritchard out of the team for the foreseeable. Luckily for him those three have been injured and Poch seems to love Eriksen but I can't help but feel that it's only a matter of time if he continues with this level of form.

If a bid of £20m+ comes in for him we should accept as I think he is one of the easiest to replace. For everything that he excels at, so do many at that level of the game.

With the low success rate of transfers I think it would be absolutely crazy to sell Eriksen for £20m. I think it's naïve to suggest he's easy to replace.

He has been really really poor for at least a month now. The worst thing is that he offers very little in the physical aspect of the game, even the likes of Lamela are now getting involved and beating players with pace/strength. Eriksen just dangles his foot around which is pretty frustrating.

Really, thought he had a bit of a stinker today, especially the first half, where he gave the ball away a good few times. He had a slightly better second half.

Though he played a couple of lovely balls and battle well. Was a little pissed though so could be that

He's = he is. IE "He is a footballer"
His = something belonging to him or that he is responsible for. IE "His boots aren't clean and his form is poor"

Their = a possession of someone else. IE "Their kit is orange"
They're = They are = Something they do IE "They're wankers"
There = A place that's not here. IE "I wouldn't want to be over there with smelly arsenal fans"

I agree, he does't look like he's tired. And this isn't a dig at him, yes he's worked hard for a lot of this season but you never think each game that he runs himself into the ground like say, Lamela, Dier, Kane, Son etc. He doesn't look fatigued to me.

He's just looking very replaceable for me at the moment. Not transfer wise, selection wise. He's not really doing anything that a host of other players couldn't do in his position.

He had a poor patch last season, I think he will come strong second half, shame Pritchard is not fit as I think he would give him a push. I would not worry about eriksen he will come good.

I love him, we would miss him if dropped or transferred*
Always everybody's get out ball
because he understands the space/ time continuum
Partly that little boy lost, what me expression
that makes some think he's not playing well.

Saying we should sell him is a massive overreaction

He's going through a bad spell at the moment, but he is a quality player who will come good again
