:cautious: Where've you been? Don't act like you have a life off this forum.

Haha, I use to be a regular poster back in the day. But life has since taken over and now this transfer window has magnetized me back towards the swinging pessimism and optimism that is SC.

Seriously though, the ITK only came in a little while ago. The guys over in the Chat have been including him in the Starting 11 thread as if it is a done deal..

.. wait, that's pretty standard behaviour on this forum right. Nevermind.

Is Eriksen really better than Siggurdson?

You're kidding right? Siggurdson looks like his body can't cash the cheques his mind writes up. He always seems to be off balance and will never even attempt to move into the space when on the ball in central areas and is insistent on turning his back on the opposition.

So yes, he is.

Huh? They played different positions while they were both at the club. Draxler has only moved into the CAM position since Holtby left because we need someone to fill that position. It made sense to play Draxler at LAM while Holtby was there so that we could get both of them in the team - it wasn't a case of Holtby taking his position. Agree with the last statement though :)

Where do you see Holtby fitting in to this team Lufti?

I'm a huge fan of Holtby. Absolutely huge (Granted, not as big as Lufti) and if Siggy has to move on to get him time, I'm okay with that (and I'm a fan of Siggy, too).

Probably CAM now or most advanced of a midfield 3. All depends on the formation, but if we play 4-2-3-1 i'd be surprised to see him in the 2. I know his favourite position is CM and AVB sees him as a 6 and so on, but given how many CM's we've signed and the lack of creative players we have I'd assume he'd be the CAM (which he's completely capable of). In 4-3-3 though then yeah, he'd be the most advanced midfielder. Unfortunately, something in the back of mind is grinding away at me telling me that we might see him playing at LW a few times this season which would be a waste :()

If we have been speaking to this guy all week or whatever then he is clearly interested and he has also turned down a few big clubs before us so its v.good signs. I suspect we will probably have these 3 in place for NDL then anything after is booya basically. Much love

If anyone has World Soccer from June Jim Holden covers everything you'd want to know about Eriksen

SCOUTNATION!

I'm still not entirely sure where he fits in for us, although if the ITK that Sig is off to Germany is true it would make more sense.

One thing in this video though, there's a ball he pings in from the inside right channel over the shoulder of the CF who then finishes - that's exactly the type of ball Soldado thrives on.

Freekicks look good too, and hopefully he has a bit of telepathy with Jan...

Eriksen is more likely to play on the left IMO. He's played LWF many times for Ajax

Kind of curious as to what team he actually fits into

Not a huge fan of

Soldado
Eriksen Lamela
Paulinho Dembele Capoue/Sandro

I am intrigued by

Soldado
Chadli/Holtby Lamela
Eriksen/Dembele Paulinho Capoue/Sandro

Would like to see him go more centrally at times while still being able to feed all 3 areas of the pitch. Holtby and Chadli know how to back track and boss on defense at times.

God knows Dembele needs time off.

Come on guys, calm down, he is not ours yet- I am much more confident now with recent reports tonight from Telegraph and Guardian but we all know that if a CL team comes in, we are screwed.

Isn't he coming from a Champions League team already? So I don't think that would be an issue. He wants to come to us.

Sorry but I would take Eriksen over Siggy everyday of the week............he is faster, better vision and better passer of the ball, for me it's a no-brainer.
He is simply a player that we need.
