It's actually a danish energy company primarily owned by the Danish government. Stands for Dansk Olie og Naturgas.

That's not funny though. :cautious:

Interestingly it looks like they are a gas company though, I thought SP might have been getting adverts for boner pills.

No he doesn't.

He said he spoke to Dortmund a long time ago as they were contacting each player they were interested in. There is nothing about him actually turning them down.

Also, there are no actual quotes from Eriksen about PSG.

Lets not dress it up too much ;)

fuk off m8, he turnd down SPAIN 4 us!

Not sure if this has been answered, but what is eriksen like as a wide left player? I am asking as I think our best formation may be 4-2-3-1 with lamela (right), holtby (centre) and eriksen (left) in the 3 behind the striker.

I have only seen eriksen as a central player so wondering if that left side suits him? I suppose if eriksen prefers that central role, either lennon, chadli or townsend play the wide role with lamela.

Apologies if this has been answered, as it is after 4am here.

Edit. May have been answered by syn_13 on previous page.

He's played as a left forward for Ajax in a 433 with great affect so I'm sure he could do the same for us as a left attacking mid in a 4231. Him and Holtby would definitely give us alot of creativity against weaker sides that park the bus.

I wouldn't necessarily say he played there with "great effect" as he was used at the LCM in their 4-3-3 playing on the same side as Viktor Fischer who is their LF. It's not to say that he can't play as a LF, but I think to say it would be a seamless transition for him to play out there and expect him to take like a fish to water could be a bit of a stretch. He did play as the most consistently advanced midfielder in their setup and he's got the ability to definitely play out wide in a 4-2-3-1 in a fluid '3' behind the striker.

My personal preference is to see what a fluid Eriksen-Holtby-Lamela trio could do in behind Soldado. Lamela and Eriksen I believe could give us a talented pairing that can switch to really cause headaches. I'd also like to see what a Townsend-Eriksen-Lamela trio could do given the fact that we would have Townsend on the left with his very good left foot sending in crosses at pace as opposed to cutting back on to his left foot to send them in. And Eriksen/Lamela could very easily switch positions in that setup to best utilize their skillsets.

Eriksen gives us a ton of flexibility and I'm sure that, along with his creativity, has AVB licking his lips at the possibilities.

AVB has already said (I think) Eriksen and Holtby are both no.10's and will be competing for the same place. I doubt if we will see both playing together. I recon he will be sticking with Chadli for quite a while yet.

You learn something every day. I actually worked on a wind farm being bought by DONG and never realised they were Danish.

On-topic, I can't wait to see Eriksen in action. I think he is the key to making our midfield work. I like the option of using any 2 of Holtby, Lamela, Dembele, Lennon and Townsend in that attacking three, so long as Eriksen is there too. He just has so much footballing intelligence.

Didn't Holtby say he prefers being a deep lying midfielder and not a number 10? Holtby playing behind Eriksen would be the case with Holtby feeding Eriksen the ball so Eriksen could then deliver the final ball
