Dane here. Our new 4-3-3 formation with inverted wingers, fast wingbacks and Eriksen deeper is looking really good. We have build our team around Eriksen and he seems to have stepped up to the challenge. The two biggest differences compared to how we play in PL is that Eriksen only plays in the center for Denmark and Denmark play much more direct. One of the advantages of the 4-3-3 is that it's easier to get the ball to Eriksen. He still roams a lot, but he always gets back to the center and it's more difficult for the opponents defensive midfielders to track him. There is a bit more room to operate in front of the defence in a 4-3-3 than in our 4-2-3-1.

It's definitely interesting to see. We could probably use some of it against teams that park the bus. Eriksen deeper and more direct play could help us. I think playing both Kane and Llorente with Eriksen could be interesting.

Newcastle supporting mate of mine thinks I'm mad for suggesting he's worth £100m of anyone's money right now.

Told him if he was called Cristiano Erikdinho and was a latino, he'd be at Barcelona and recognised as one of the best midfielders in the world

Ugh, already fearing next summer's transfer window. Eriksen just entering his prime at 25. Better then Coutinho, with a better attitude and work ethic. Not a natural moaner or trouble-maker. By all reports, perhaps the fittest player at Spurs (in a squad packed with athletes). A real thoroughbred now. Could end up paying for the new stadium.

Stop worrying for God's sake.

Yep. Eriksen to my knowledge has never expressed his intention or desire to use us as a stepping stone on to bigger things, I think it's a bit silly just to assume that because he's one of the best players in the world in his position that he's going to be sold as soon as one of the giants come calling.

I think he'll be with us for at least a couple more seasons yet.

It's amazing the bigger teams with more money than us haven't come in for him yet. Guess he doesn't have a sexy South American name.

Eriksen is by some distance our most influential player, and I know many on here would happily see him play as a playmaking 8 in a 433, and I'm not totally averse to the idea (he also played there for Ajax) but I just think International football is almost a polar opposite to the PL, and I still prefer him in that next layer as an CAM, but one that drops back continually when needed. I think as an 8, the one thing he lacks to be a great one is that ability to move with the ball, i.e. jink round tackles and break a layer that way. That said, I wish I'd recorded the Denmark game now and had a good watch of how he played, that was a good result against a decent Poland side wasn't it, and it looked like Eriksen's stamp was all over it.
