He was rubbish today. Still got a hangover from the Ireland match I reckon. It'll wear off after Christmas.

Here's something to enrage anti Spurs conspiracy theorists . BBC Gossip column , for the first time in history put the Eriksen to Barcelona rumour in the column both yesterday Monday and today .

Same source , everything the same...where's a suitably grumpy emoticon , try this :wacky:

Yeah saw that also, and backed it up today with claims Luke Shaw is now the fittest player at UTD.

Do u think he will ever score another free kick for us??
Not if Kane keeps sidling up to him at one point )against WBA i think) as he is placing the ball perfectly for himself and nicks it off him and starts doing the same thing himself a mere mm away from where the ball ready was, Eriksen has a little try of rolling it back to his position, before Kane claims it again.

It made pretty unconfortable viewing to me. Kane then blasted it into the wall.

I prefer Eriksen on free kicks, both with shot potenional or cross and i want Kane in the center ready for drops, rebouts or out and out attacking the crosses.

Eriksen has a world news game with the hattrick and leading his country into the WC and comes back to get the ball taken off him for what should be his bread and butter and major part of his participation with the team.

Any one saw that? I know it happens sometimes in all teams, but its left a lingering memory for me and it didn't look great for Kane.

Maybe its lingering on for Eriksen too?

I think we're seeing why he won't be wearing a Barca/Real shirt anytime soon.

Great player, at times.

That was probably my final straw with him last night if he starts vs Watford I may not even watch it.

He’s spending to much time avoiding getting hurt to be fit for his World Cup outing there no excuse for even his passing being off!

Absolutely dreadful

This is what being run into the ground looks like.

I am a massive Eriksen fan and it's pathetic how fans are turning on him. He's our second most important attacking player and for 13 months he was our sole pure creative force; which for the most part of that period, he was playing at a world class level, that's a massive burden that no single player should be responisible for. It eventually catches up to anybody and right now you can tell Eriksen is exhausted both physically and mentally. That's way we are seeing all the loose touches and the hesistation which leads to poor desicion making in his play. It's frustrating to watch, but its probably more frustrating for Eriksen himself.

If you look at Kevin De Bruyne the "best playmaker" in the league, who was fairly mediorce last year, he has David Silva alongside him. Who creates space for KDB to deliver by linking up with him in very clever ways, as well Silva has the ability to play killer final passes himself. Relieving the pressure from de Bruyne and putting in opponents heads that they maybe able to stop one of them but not both.

Likewise Lamela coming back full of desire, should really help Christian get back on his feet. I would still like to see us buy another creative force another little ten type that can move in and out of little pockets of space to exploit the opposition and has the vision to play the final pass. Maybe Lanzini if West Ham go down? But I would mostly like to see Edwards given a chance and I think he deserves it.

Erisken has always had dips in form. They would go on for a month or so maybe longer. Thats why it was vital we got someone in in the summer but poch has failed us on this front. You can't rely on 2-3 attacking players to get you through a season when you are in 4 comps.

That's the key there. Always has dips in form. You know who else does? Ozil, whom he is often compared to because of the year they came in and the value associated with it. Either way, I am happy as hell we have Christian cause he at least puts in the effort. Ozil is a sulking prick.

But point is, which why I gave you a winner rating, he needs a rest and a player to challenge him. I personally think we have one in Lamela who should be playing centrally moving forward. What we need is 1 or even 2 wide players that can take people on like pool, city, and united have. We have a fine defense, but out attacking options are still where we fall short.

Nobody at all is turning on him. We are saying he has been massively off form since his Denmark star turn. No need for such a hyper sensitive opening to your post.

Simple thing is that when Eriksen plays well the whole team does too. When Spurs play badly he's one of the poorest players on the pitch, but when we are are excellent he's the heartbeat of it all. Hopefully he rediscovers his form!

there's certainly been a lot of ungrateful bitching and complaining of late, and i just think people need a reality check about their expectations.

Eriksen, Alli and even Kane know that no matter how they perform their starting place is assured. I don't think that's a particularly good thing for a team.

There is a fine line between supporting players in a period of poor form and developing complacency within the squad.

The main problem is that he and Alli have both hit a bad patch at the same time. Not only are they failing to score or assist, they are also both coughing up possession cheaply which is causing us major problems.

Lamela returning had come at the right time as Eriksen needs a rest now.

He looked very sharp when he came on v Leicester. Vision and weight of passing were spot on. What I always found frustrating with him was that he lost the ball far too much (which is one of Eriksen's big problems at the moment). I'm more than ready to see him given a go though.

Can't expect too much from him but I suspect our fans will put pressure on him.
