We can tell them to do one purely on the basis that we can't get in a replacement. Them bidding while we have the time to get a replacement is one thing, but when we can't do anything? Can't see it happening.

"Sorry Christian, would love to let you leave but we just don't have time to get in a replacement".

Lucky we didn’t get Grealish eh

His agent played the same game last time we were in contract negotiations. CE was linked with loads of clubs. Its just more of the same.

Didn't PSG make Mbappe's loan in to a permanent transfer this season? How are they able to make a €100 million offer if they bought Mbappe recently? Was the fee in the loan deal €200 millions?

"So I wouldn't be able to spend any of that £125m and it would just have to sit in my bank account. Oh wait..."

By selling someone to Real Madrid?

Can you imagine the reaction, I think a lot of us would be calling for ENIC to leave.
And how do you think that would work out? If the Yanited fans couldn't oust the yanks what chance would we have. It's not often though you see the fans backing a manager over the board nowadays, though that would certainly be the case here.

What do you mean by 'selling someone to real madrid'? Am I missing something here? :)

That's how they would be able to offer 100m, by selling another asset. Neymar maybe? Barcelona have been sniffing around Verratti before. Marquinhos would bring in some money.

It's not at all unlikely that they would be able to make such a bid imo.

we had ITK saying that Deli and CE has signed contracts before the world cup i think

i am thinking this can't have been accurate as even by Spurs standards that would be a very delayed announcement!

My assumption is that the players agreed on terms, but maybe had not actually signed the deals.

They could have signed when they got back from the WC.

But, if the club announced them now - in the midst of the stadium crisis, I don't think it would come off well. Get the stadium issues sorted, and then get the contracts done.

Surely with all the Stadium shit hitting the fan now is exactly the right time to announce any contract extensions?!

The longer you sit on an announcement or other piece of info the greater the chance of being gazumped - it's a really odd thing to do from a PR standpoint whatever else might be happening. My onion is that they'll be announced when they're official/signed and if they've not been announced then they've not been fully completed.

Anyone who thinks Levy won't sell for £100m next summer is deluded.

If he hasn't renewed by this time next year he's gone.

Its a far cry from thinking Levy would not sell next summer, and Levy will not sell in the next few weeks.

There is 0% chance Levy sells Eriksen before September 3rd

My personal opion is that no Eriksen would also means no champions league next season, surely and hopefully this is recognised from within.

I would be absolutely shocked if we sold him this window.
