I must be deluded then . No way will Levy sell for just 100 million.
Will he have one year left on his contract then? If DL is willing to sell to a premier league club as well as overseas then several clubs would be interested. DL has to have it at the back of his mind that Eriksen might decide to play out his contract if he doesn't get the move that he wants so holding out for over 100 million might not work. I hope that he does sign a new contract but I also hope that we don't end up regretting not signing Grealish.

Doubt very much that Eriksen would leave for the French league. He's not about the big pay day, and for him the preferred option for a step up would be one of the big guns in Spain.

You don't think Levy will sell for £100m if he doesn't sign a new deal and has one year left on his contract? Mental! Of course he will. I'm a huge Eriksen fan but I'd bite your hand off for £100m if he only had 12 months left to run

In my eyes Eriksen is our difference maker when it comes to CL football. I am of the view that you could defend putting him at the ceiling of our wage structure alongside Kane to keep him without any outcry from anyone that he is over payed. As such I have high hopes that we can secure a new contract and all this transfer talk can go away.

I'd give Christian a £180k per week contract, 5 year deal and just hope he signs the thing. Don't penny pinch with class, that's Levys biggest downfall

I would love to know if the ITK that said Eriksen had already signed a new contract still stand by that.
Doesn't seem that he is anywhere near a new contract to me :(

If Dele and Eriksen signed new deals, they’d have been announced awhile ago.

He’s usually alright on rewarding players with new contracts though isn’t he, we just couldn’t afford to pay top whack until now. I get the feeling with Eriksen that he wants to be as good as he possibly can be, obviously money is a driver, but looking at his career choices so far it seems to be about that a shade more. It’s up to us to convince him he can achieve what he wants with us. If we can, he will sign I suspect.

I think we know the answer. I think the club has really clamped down on leaks so the ITK we are seeing now isn't as close to the truth as we have previously seen.

I have no doubt we have been working with Eriksen for a long time but if he has signed we would know. The longer it goes on the wolves will be at the door and given the length of time he has been at the club then I am slightly worried.

Unfortunately, I'm not exactly confident that Levy's latest transfer window shenanigans will have done much to convince him of the ambition you describe mate.

Should have signed one or two fucking decent players then shouldn't we.

Has anything actually been said over the last week about him leaving or have we just started panicking all of a sudden? I do get it though as 18 months left on this contract is a bit dodgy

Lots of adding random info and coming to own conclusions based on little.

There was itk suggesting he had as good as signed a new contract, nothing since.

Given his quality, age and length of contract it is not unreasonable to think his time to join a mega club is near.

But He knows we can't achieve what he wants. He only has to look at the transfer window and wage structure to see that 3rd 4th or 5th is our level and that PL or CL is out of our reach. If Eriksen goes others will follow.

There is a simple pecking order in football.

Eriksen will only go if he wants to play for a mega club and is at a level that they would want him.

I believe he is at that level.

The majority of the others aren’t and are at the right place for their level.

I don't believe he's signed a new deal and am concerned however, the suggestion was maybe we were holding back on announcement to counter the stream of bad news the last few weeks. Everyone assumed he'd already signed a new deal so the impact of announcing it would be minimal and be quite transparent.

If the club was going to try to use a new contract announcement as a positive PR moment this is what would occur: They'd leak that contract talks had stalled, they'd leak that a big club are preparing a huge bid for him before their window closes and then we'd announce he has signed a new deal. That would create a positive. Not that I believe that this is what is occurring.

Personally, I think keeping Alderweireld, Dembele and Rose (plus the rest of our squad) shows more ambition than replacing them with Grealish and Zaha.
