Pulisic or Martial?..Pulisic all day.. One chose money & thinks he's already made it & is complete footballer. .. the other Pulisic could easily of left Dortmund over last couple of seasons for money & chose to stay & develop as a player.. Pulisic is a real player..Martial is a talented guy with the ball at his feet..

How did martial choose money? He moved from a decent Monaco team to one of the biggest in the world.

Being very harsh on him

If I’m not mistaken, it wasn’t Martial that turned Spurs down. We bid on him and Monaco said no, they weren’t selling at that price (think it was in the high 30M range). Then said outright that they weren’t selling him. Then Man U came in with a bid 2x what we’d bid and that was all she wrote.

What's with claims that players are choosing money over Tottenham, just because they go to City or United. It's in this thread, De ligt and others. It's pure rubbish...these are big clubs.

How much would he realistically cost? I read some reports that he has a reasonable release clause in his contract, but really, I would be surprised if he didn't cost near 40/50 mil. As much as I rate him, if we were going to spend that sort of cash on another AM/WF I would prefer we went for Fekir who would be able to improve our starting line up from the get go. Pulisic will need time before he can make a impact for us, he still looks very raw. I would still be very happy to sign him, but really, he should probably stay at BVB and get another season starting under his belt.

Great insight, would love to have Fekir and he is probably looking for a move. Another season at Dortmund wouldn't be a bad move for Pulisic, he had some rough patches this season.
If it was between Pulisic and Martial who would y’all prefer? Would love either really, but I think I would prefer Martial, as he is a little further down the line, and we know he will make an immediate impression. Haven’t seen a great deal of Pulisic, but I’m assuming he isn’t the finished product?
Both are good players, I really like Pulisic but would take Martial over him for sure right now. Martial is already familiar with the PL and his versatility would give us plenty of options going forward and potentially solve our whole back-up for Kane issue. I also feel like many of you that the Pulisic signing would be a huge commercial success. However, that should not be a deciding factor between Martial and Pulisic. All in all, I would be happy with either player, as both would improve our side, but Martial would make the more immediate impact IMO.

Martial edged it for me, playing basically 3/4s of the time Pulisic has, in a tougher league, for a manager who isn’t exactly progressive. Plus I think Martial could be a good back up for Kane.

Pulisic is every bit as interested in making money as anyone else..however, he grew up in a middle class household with parents that both played football and with a father is who a professional coach so he will make decisions that are best for his career. He is purportedly a big Manchester United fan for what it’s worth.

Would he be a mourinho fan though. Used to be players wanted to play for him but he’s lost that aura now

I think it clearly was there a year ago but I bet the Pogba situation and now Martial will have players noticing. Although ManU will continue to throw huge wages and use their name and get the guys they want I'm sure.

Surprised at those end products, very disappointing. So inconsistent is the main issue ATM then I assume?

I really don’t rate him any better than what we have in Son for example. I don’t think he has improved at all since he broke into their team. He can be a bit of a headless chicken at times.

He's still a boy with plenty to learn, I can't deny that. However, you don't literally burst onto the scene like he did & continue those exploits into your international debut if you're only 18 and don't have something about you.

The lad was practically their best player until Mourinho went into the club and singlehandedly broke anyone not called DeGea.

I fully see your point, he has NOT improved since breaking into their team, but I'll put my neck on the line & say he WOULD have improved as a player if he still had Sir Alex as his manager, rather than an egotistical **** who couldn't give a fuck about the pieces of meat he is supposed to motivate each week.

Just like many other players that Utd fans seem to think deserve more time on the pitch, Rashford can't improve if he's never given time or opportunity to. Or if he is given an unexpected run out, as soon as the game is finished, he's instantly slagged off and belittled by the egotistical **** who selected him.

If I was a young player at United, I'd want to be anywhere other than there, and I'd be chomping at the bit to prove him wrong and ram that ****s words straight down his throat. And if I was a young player elsewhere, I'd be seeing/hearing these unbelievable public condemnations, and my agent would be instructed that any contact from Utd/Mourinho is greeted with a swift but polite, Thanks for the interest but kindly fuck off and look elsewhere.

Rashford was abysmal in the final but he'd definitely be a great backup to Kane at the very least. IMO a talented player that Poch would love to just mould into something, because it's obvious the raw tools are there

Well yes I sort of agree... but those idiots will think he is worth £50m or more and I just don’t agree.

Dunno about £50m, but I'm sure United wouldn't let him go for anything less. Maybe £45m at a push. He's really around a £30-40m player currently, with the ability he's shown and buckets of potential.

Rashford.
Please don't bring this Rashford shit here, tired of this. United wouldn't sell him to us anyway, it would make them look stupid if he succeeded and the relationship between us and them isn't very good.

Disagree. He's already better than Moura in some ways and would get plenty of game time at Spurs. Certainly if Spurs got rid of Sissy and Lamela, for example. Plus, as footballer, he needs to get to the PL soon for commercial reasons. Without the WC this year, and with the Bundesliga not generally favored by American fans, his commercial appeal has plateaued. Getting to the PL would take his commercial value to another level...especially considering Dortmund look like they are regressing of late. Of course his commercial appeal should not overrule what's good to him as a footballer but he surely sees the advantages of playing in the PL for an American and he needs merely to find the right club. I don't know if Spurs is that club but I think he will be in England within a year.
Makes sense. And I hope you're right that he's better than Lucas (though I disagree), especially if he signs with Spurs. That would be a win-win for me as a fan.
