Missed opportunity for Spurs.
Part of me 'never wanted him'...cocked and loaded cheap shots at the American would irritate. Most of me would love him here. Would be great so see his progress week in week out. When I see BVB's 2nd goal and I consider the plodding MF we are likely to have I take a rather more Panglossian perspective on missing out on him.

Can see him going to Chelsea if they sell Hazard to Real Madrid. He'd be a perfect replacement for them. They'll probably pay close to 100m given market prices.

Playing out of his skin for a move maybe. Would be difficult as Utd and Liverpool have probably been keeping tabs even longer than us.

Argument against is mainly lack of consistent output (only fair as has been levelled at Zaha) and also not being an ST option. That said I think we have Son and Lamela that can do a job at false 9.

Well he is 19... so, yeah, he does not have a 5-year track record.

Skill-wise he would be what we wanted to have if Kane were out, and we went with 4 fluid attackers up front.

I would prefer him to Zaha, has way more potential and has a very good football brain for one so young, with proper coaching he will go to the very top, I just don’t see that from Zaha.

Every time I think about him I think there are better options for what we need (Zaha, Martial) and then I remember that he’s 19 and really really want him at Spurs.

Still hold firm to my prediction he’ll be ours. Only worry about Liverpool with him.
It makes a lot of sense. His age, his position (and the fact that he looks like he can grow to be a #10) and his marketability with the new stadium and NFL partnership.

Makes sense for us, but I’m afraid I don’t see it making as much sense for him.
Higher pay, most competitive league in the world, increased endorsement opportunities that come along with being the only American playing in the Premier League...seems like it makes sense.

That said, you can definitely argue that he should stay at Dortmund another season.

Higher pay no question, but at the cost of much greater competition for playing time, and more exposure but at the cost of essentially ensuring he won’t transfer to a bigger club for several years minimum. Right now he’s basically nailed on to start for an exciting club in Germany and in Europe, everyone is watching him and if he excels then the big boys will come calling and the big endorsement deals along with them. If I wasn’t a spurs fan, I don’t think I’d tell him to leave Dortmund for us, not this year.

Kids the real deal. Always has been. Always will. Time is now. Poch knows the score..."be berry brave."

We all know what'll happen if DL is not, brave.

Poch.."hello Florentino, it is me, Mauricio."

And the rest is history...

Don't let this guy be our Moutinho MKII

Agents suck. We know that. Get over yourself DL. The game is up...move on with the times. Your bullyboy tactics are worn out, others have read your hand.

Rant over - long day.

Makes me piss that many think he's not ready for us yet.

He's already twice the footballer Sissoko is and IMO a player who would soon demand a starting spot.

There’s a very strong case to be made that hes a better footballer than Zaha already, IMO.

I like Pulisic but I fail to see how he could be considered to be better than Zaha overall atm. Pulisic has age on his side though and would love us to get him.

He isn't coming here IMO.

WAAAAYYY out of our financials.

But why?

I doubt he's on mega money at Dortmund. We could probably double his wages and he'd be happy enough. If you mean the fee then you're probably right!
