Or Eriksen was dropped deeper and we didn't go big for a CM?

I wouldn't have a problem with that but it seems unlikely. Poch had the option to do that the last couple of games this season but went for a horribly out of form Wanyama and Sissoko instead. Given the number of options we have at AM and the dearth of options in CM it would suggest he doesn't fancy Eriksen as a CM, or prefers him as an AM anyway

To me Pulisic is a bit now where Moura was at 19 and it's yet to see what he becomes with that. For the US it is hard to judge since the tactic is get Pulisic the ball and hope he can dribble it into a dangerous position and see what happens. I could see him leaving Dortmund simply because their new manager would have no idea how to use him since their new manager is a very defensively minded, nobody ever attacks, style.

??? Their new manager is anything but! Lucien Favre is one of the best young managers out there. Gladbach were exciting under him and so were Nice, who he took to 3rd in his first season. He also got the best out of Balotelli and enabled him to return to the Italian NT

He's the only American I have been interested in coming here.

I'm not that interested in him anymore. With Moura we got that type covered. Dortmund is an ideal club for him with their type of football. Not sure how effective he would be anywhere else (I don't care about the national team).

I worded it poorly trying to type it quick. I guess I am trying to phrase it as I think the role Pulisic plays does not exist in a Favre system except in a structured way which would mean Pulisic would have to adapt his game dramatically to meet it. Either becoming a more striker role or a more midfielder role, neither of which he has really done much except for the US national team to mixed results.

I want hi
I have the feeling many want this to happen simply because he's American.
I want him because he's already a very good player with the potential to be huge.

If Eriksen decides to leave next summer I'd love to know Pulisic has had a full season with us.

Would be an ideal replacement.

I really like Pulisic. He has that uncanny ability to beat his marker, and he was Dortmund’s best player at Wembley. But if we’re going to sign a winger from them I’d hope it would be Sancho.

Been very keen on him since he trained with us, and chose Germany. We do have a chance-Q Levy
I feel like a lot of this summer is going to be "Q Levy" and hope he bursts through the doors with a double barrell money gun rather than finding his office empty and him repelling down the side of the building with a briefcase of cash.

Pulisic wears the 10 shirt for the US - he sees himself in that role. He is not coming here to play RWB.

In which case good luck ousting one of the best CAMs in world football in Eriksen, not to mention Dele. You would imagine he would take a fair bit of convincing to come here over Dortmund which is a great place for development.

Seems a bit of weird move unless we plan to use some of his versatility early on (from a pure football standpoint).

At least Martial, Bale and Zaha have #9 experience which would directly fill a problem area in the squad.

If Pulisic came in I think that'd probably be the end for Lamela.

I know people are probably still thinking of Yedlin, but Pulisic is miles ahead of Yedlin in terms of technical ability and is the one player who could move the needle in terms of raising Spurs profile in America. And Spurs need that to catch the other top-6 teams in terms of commercial revenue.

Thing is, if we brought in Pulisic and sold Lamela it would leave us with no left footed attackers. I also think we would bring in Pulisic more to play on the left, but that's more hunch. I would have really liked to have got him instead of Moura but now I don't really see it. I like him as a player and think he has potential, but he's raw, needs game time and is too similar to what we currently have. If we are going to bring in an AM/WF they need to be a step up from what we have or able to cover more then one position. If we sell Lamela we need to replace with another left footed in my opinion.

The latest ITK says that Ryan Sessenon will be coming to us if Fulham don't come up

That would almost certainly effect this transfer

I see your point. I actually think Favre can find a role for him, as he did with Saint Maximin (who has a similar, if slightly more flashy profile) at Nice, but it would most likely be as a second striker or 10, which I personally think Pulisic can adapt to
