He's good at scoring a variety of goals, he has good off the ball movement and generally has a good work rate.

He's shown none of that to date, has made a poor start and is low on confidence but branding him the worst since ___ and saying he's absolutely dreadful is stupid.

I can see a Pienaar situation. I reckon he'll return to Fulham in January/next summer, and Levy will somehow get more money for him than we paid.

What was the point of getting rid of Piennar and signing Demspey?

Malbranque had a greater impact when he came from Fulham.

He was terrible today. Very poor off the ball movement, little tenacity to his game, no shooting or striking awareness at all, looked almost as lacklustre as Berbatov used to on the pitch for us.

I'm trying to find something good to say in his defence, but based on today i can't think of a single thing.

Just as annoyed with AVB though for not seeing this and subbing him earlier for either Defoe or Sigurdsson (who at least covers a lot of ground when playing for us).

Yes it is. Wether you are right or wrong, the timing says it all :)

It's not though. It was a terrible performance to top off a pretty rubbish start to his Tottenham career. Even if we won i was going to come on here and start a Dempsey thread, he hindered our play massively today and was, without a doubt, shit.
