I wonder what is Poch’s Plan, what does it translate to when he wants us to take risks?

Is he asking for a war chest or does he want to tie down a number of key players on long term contract with improved wages. Does he have a few targets he wants wrapped up before the World Cup?

I wonder what Poch’s identifies as our next best steps to move the club forward again?
Questions, questions.

Fantastic news! So hoping we win a trrophy just for this man.

Will hopefully precipitate new contracts for our key players and also gives confidence to prospective players.

A lot of people forget this, but I didn't. Within a couple of weeks, I think, of Pochettino arriving, we had ITK from a reputable source that Levy had finally found The Guy. It went under the radar, because people were cynical after so much managerial turnover. But it ws a definite "finally he has the right man" bit of ITK. I can't recall who it was.

It's plain that the tension and competitiveness between Levy and previous managers just isn't there with Pochettino. He trusts him. They have a relaxed working relationship. That manifests itself in their willingness to take a steer from each other.

That means that Pochettino doesn't distrust Levy and think he's having his career stifled when he has the financial limitations of the club explained to him. And it means that Levy doesn't think Pochettino is making unreasonable demands when he states that a 21 year old defender from Colombia is worth £40m+ (a much better example than Sissoko).

When you trust your right-hand man, you let him exercise leadership, because you understand that he is not a threat to you. When you're the right-hand man and you trust your chief executive, you are willing to take limits and orders, because you understand that you are not being forced to abide by arbitrary and wilful limitations.

We all got frustrated, to the point of foaming at the mouth, by the constant, disruptive managerial changes between 2001 and 2014. There were successes and failures and, in my view, way too many premature terminations, but the underlying theme was that Levy hadn't found someone he could relax with and he could trust. Now he has.

But then Poch had said that when things didn't go exactly right during his first season, he feared he could get the sack. Clearly, there was some apprehension there. But yes, during Poch's second season, things were much more relaxed.

Stop listening to all the uninformed rubbish on the internet , papers TV and radio ( talk sport garbage) , watch the Chris Cowlin you tube interview with Paul Miller after the Newcastle game , Paul got it absolutely right about Poch.

And Alasdair Gold for weeks has been talking about a new contract being drawn up.

People spend so much time now on the media. But then choose to listen and read the lowest common denominator.

They then get pissed off with it.

The mind truly boggles.

People need to stop reading shit on Twitter and other garbage. Just find good sources of info and concentrate on that.

Spurs have really carved out a niche for themselves in the PL: the very, very highest levels of professionalism & seriousness on both the sporting and business sides, but without having lost the feel of a community & family club that presents a generally friendly, sunny face to the world.

In fairness to the Dippers, they have a similar vibe going on there, but not every club does by any means. Compare us to the never-ending nastiness at Chelsea, or the sterility at City, or the anxiety at United, and it's night and day.

All summed up by this pic. Two world class professionals, and cheese. Love it.

They aren’t used to football people who say what they mean. They asked him about future plans. He said he had a meeting with Daniel set up to discuss the club’s strategy and aspirations and he would know more about the future after that. They all went nuts over-interpreting it. What kind of pressure was he trying to apply to Levy? Was it a threat? Which club did he prefer to move to? But he meant what the words said: he had the meeting and then he knew more about the future. So he decided that the future should involve a much higher salary and a longer contract.

Just occasionally, things are exactly what they seem. More often with Pochettino than with others.

Oh my fucking God. Not even 24 hours have passed & the press have already started plotting his escape. I bet you can't guess which particular Spanish based news outlet has started the ball rolling :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Mauricio Pochettino’s new contract release clause should concern Tottenham fans

However, fans will come back down to earth with a bump when they read MARCA‘s reports which claim that the contract includes an escape clause which would allow Pochettino to depart the club if Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain come calling.

The report goes on to state that the former Espanyol and Southampton boss is desperate to one day manage the Champions League finalists, whilst his history as a player at PSG would certainly make a move there appealing.

Wonderful news. As a huge Poch fan I think we need to give this guy total control so I'm hoping it also means DL has approved his summer plans and that we'll get and keep the players Poch wants.

Dissapointed the plans didn't prioritise coming to some agreement with Alderwereld but we can only do what we can afford. Fantastic news otherwise.
