From the official site:

The Club has today sought permission from the High Court to bring a claim against the Olympic Park Legacy Company Limited, the Mayor of London, the Minister for Sport and the Olympics and the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government for judicial review of a series of decisions made by them to appoint a joint bid by the London Borough of Newham and West Ham United Football Club as preferred bidder in a competition for the lease of the Olympic Stadium.
As previously reported, the Club continues to hold discussions with both local and national government bodies in order to seek to agree a feasible stadium solution.

This is getting embarrassing. If we showed as much fight on the pitch the last few months as we have off the field over this whole stadium fiasco we might not be in the embarrassing position we are in right now of having won one game in 12, sixth in the league behind an awful Liverpool side and surrounded in doom and gloom. The fans don’t want the stadium. We have been beaten on the bidding. Now let smove on and stop wasting more fcuking time on pointless tasks. Stadium bid and tranfer windows have been a complete joke this season.
Lets get back to concentrating on what really matters. Winning football matches.
This club drives me bloody bananas.

6th is embarrassing? Have you been supporting the club for one year?

Not sure who you think we are with some kind of devine right to get in the top four. We have done it once. FFS.

If it's just a matter of getting compensation for a corrupt bid and holding some of the officials to account fine.
I don't want us to try for the OS again because I believe that stadium will be like having an incontinent albatross hanging over you.

These are two separate issues.

Has it not occurred to people that the club may realise that the Newham & West Ham bid is not feasible, may not be strictly legal and the decision by the OPLC was made without due dilligence and did not follow correct procedures? If so then the bid can no longer be considered valid leaving only one bid on the table.
There is an awful lot at stake and to simply walk away from this would be tantamount to a dereliction of duty by the club so whilst this may not be popular with some supporters I believe this has quite a way to go yet.

This has always been my belief.
My paranoid conspiracy theory is that the decision was a purely political one and that the West Ham bid is dodgy on several fronts and could end up being an absolute disaster (especially if they are relegated).

As a result we were encouraged to bid against it as a get out clause. But if I remember rightly West Ham looked like they would survive when the preferred bidder was chosen so they got the decision. But now they look likely to drop again we suddenly come out of the woodwork once more.

It might just be a coincidence but where politics and business are concerned it rarely is.

The OLC would have wanted the stadium to stay in the public limelight so that their decision was justified but if it drops into the Championship, and if West Ham are poorly run even League 1, it could destroy any credibility the decision makers had.

But if West Ham are relegated, we blow their bid out of the water legally, and the stadium defaults to us without any political damage to the decision makers. We take the flak as the big, bad, business steamrollering over a local club but still getting the stadium, they get away with their dodgy decision, and West Ham don't end up with the proverbial albatross round their necks, so it ends up being a win-win for everyone.

West Ham won unanimously, why are they going to turn around and say "no wait, on 2nd thoughts, you can have it instead"?

Don't think anyone is suggesting that they want to revise the decision. But if the other one is ruled to be illegal, then they wont have a choice.

How long do these judicial review's generally take?

A lot longer than any legal action we might have to go through to get the CPOs for the NDP. It will take at least a year just for the case to be listed, after that who knows, how long's a piece of string?

Except for the Tottenham fans who don't want the club to move out of Tottenham.

I believe that 1 of the key points of contention was that the weighting of the points of the bids was changed during the bid process. WHU only don as the financial points were reduced from 50% to 15%. Hardly fair now and clearly not an outright win

And if relegation exposes some previously under-played financial flaws to the West Ham bid, then I can't see any new vote being quite so unanimous.
