Daniel Levy on Spurs TV Online

We're designing a scheme for our current site and adjoining land - the Northumberland Development Project - a world-class scheme incorporating a new stadium with a capacity of 60,000, a Club Museum, new shops and restaurants, new homes, a new base for the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and important new public space.

Over the next week, the Club will be hosting the first of two public exhibitions to set out our vision for the area, as we undertake a thorough consultation programme with the local community as well as continue to consult with you, the fans. Having previously consulted fans via website surveys the Club now invites comments from supporters on the scheme to date - information can be viewed on this site via the link below or at the Exhibition which runs as follows:

    Friday 14 November, 10am - 5pm
    Saturday 15 November, 10am - 5pm
    Sunday 16 November, 10am - 5pm
    Monday 17 November, 12pm - 8pm
    Tuesday 18 November, 10am - 5pm

To view the Club's early plans,

As always we shall look to keep you, our supporters, along with the local community of Haringey, as informed and up-to-date as possible and later today, the Club launches a special section of the website - www.tottenhamhotspur.com/futureplans to keep you up to date on our emerging plans and to let us have your comments.

Hmmm that future plans link doesn't seem to work like it did the other day...

Looks pretty clever the transition from one stadium to the other. It does mean there will be one dead end with no crowds.

Looks good... its a "bowl"... but I like it. Interesting the way they plan to do the work over the years with out effecting WHL.

Wonder what the name will be??

If you watch the video of the Levy interview he says that the actual stadium plans / designs have not been finalised yet. The picture of the stadium bowl is just an image to show where the stadium is going to go. Take no notice of the fact that it's a bowl.

However, Im now trying to find where we send comments to - any ideas?

Hmmm. Its basically a copy of the Emirates stadium. Levy does say its a generic outline so maybe it isn't?

Yeh I was wondering about the naming rights too - they have been sold off haven't they? If we keep with our current sponsor it would be alright - spurs from the mansion!

I do like the old stadium names - I don't want the sport to become so commercially influenced as in America.

So what's the next step? Planning Permission?
  9. avonspurs
I'm not sure, but would think (1) consultation, (2) revised, confirmed, plans, (3) planning permission, (4) various people bitching about it and complaining, (5) revised plans to take into account 4, (6) build, (7) we go in and remain unbeaten winning the league, CL, world cup, olympics, the race to mars, etc., etc......

I would have thought they'd already have that to be honest. The next stage is probably finalising stadium designs. Which is why we all need to get in there and shout the one word that is on everyone's mind - SQUARE!

Yeah I dont really want a sponsor name as the new stadium name, but then, it'll probably help financially. Im not sure how that would work if the sponsor changes or anything though. Id much prefer something like "Northumberland Park", "The Lane", or "Paxton Road" etc.

    Nameing Rights

Simple......what about "The New White Hart Lane"
  12. pezinhoTHFC
THE NEW LANE - that'll do. Short, sweet, obviously Spurs

Some points we must all make to the club..

We have to keep the cockerals on top of the stands.

    WE WANT A SHELF!!!

The museum and shop, we dont want some lackluster effort. Anyone who has ever been to the nou camp knows that its thrilling to walk through there museum, and their shop is tremendous. We want something equally inspiring.

Stands close to the pitch please.

I feel very encouraged by Levy's point regarding an iconic design. He was very definate imo to make a distinction between his idea of iconic compared to generic. The simple design in the Phase plans is generic and therefore took from that Levys iconic ideal is not that.

    Hip hip horray

Naming rights won't happen til very late on in proceedings. No point in selling them to a company that might not be around in 4 years time when it opens!

Once the old stadium is demolished they should turn it into a super car park for all season ticket holders.
  17. norflondon
All new stadia are bowls - Emirates, Wembley, Allianz Arena etc.
  18. mil1lion
Knowing Spurs it will be a round stadium in a square hole.
