Fabricio Coloccini's agent, Marcelo Lombillo, is set to jet to London for transfer talks with Tottenham.

Tottenham's £3million bid for Deportivo La Coruna’s Argentinian defender is being considered very seriously.

However, the Spanish club may demand £1m more for the 24-year-old centre-back, who was left out of Deportivo’s 2-0 win over Real Madrid on Sunday.

But he doesn't want to leave. Besides he snubbed us for them two years ago. I'vw seen him play and seriously I think Gardner is better.
    No thanx

Argentina=better than England=Colcoccini is better than Rio or Terry

    dont be stupid!!!

Im a big admirer of generalisations like that :duh: But Colcoccini is not in the same class as Terry, Ferdinand due to the fact that the English league differs so greatly to any that the Argie has ever been used to, he hasn't settled in europe at any of the clubs he's been at so the chance of being a success here is quite frankly ludicrous

The Band is getting back together

With Coloccini, we will be one step closer to having a metal band at White Hart Lane, if not Premiership contenders. He looks a bass player to me. We'll beat Arsenal out of the cup with Rock'N'Roll, man.

Anyhoo, only a few days after a bi row over 'who would want a player to be hurt' and what a scumbag such a person would have to be -- I'd say Luis Garcia's little knock has improved our outlook for the season and potential qualification.

I saw him in one game about 2 years ago and thought the guy was brilliant. Haven't seen enough recently but do remember Frank A tried to get him when he was with us.

So good he's 1 million and better than rio or terry:duh:

would sooner get a blowjob from a great white shark than sign him! stick with what we have, two top centre backs, two good ones. and a couple of promising young ones (though maybe given the injury to dervite we should look into bringing lee back from millwall!)

    Breaking News!!!

Not really sure where to post this but i some information that will come as a pleasant surprise to many.I have it on very good authority that Daniel Levy has almost completed a deal for the purchase of an industrial estate behind Paxton Rd. A printing firm on this estate is refusing to sell, but he hopes to wrap up a deal shortly. What relevance does this have on the club I hear you ask. Well, the plan is to rotate white hart lane on to this land and create one of the largest stadiums in the country. I work within football and this is 100% bonafide information. Remember where you heard it first!!!

Switcher that is great news, that will be the icing on the cake.

Another off topic but i reckon we should go for wycombe's left back, what a game that kid had tonight, talk about potential, someone will snap him up and have a real good player.

4got to put his name... Steven O'Halloran

I know that industrial estate well and it would be a perfect solution to our lack of space. I also think that I know the printing firm that is refusing to sell!

We could easily fill 50000 right now, if we were consistently challenging at the top we could fill 60000. It must be remembered that we sell-out when we are shite.

I really hope this happens, I might actually get to see a few more games, or even get a season ticket!

    We live in hope!

I think we should get Heinze from Man U. He can play as a center back and left back...so he would fit in nicely as a starter instead of LYP or Ekotto. He has already shown he can be a good prem league defender and he would fit in pretty well in the center if need be. He can't cost more then 3.5 mill pounds, and then we can get rid of salty and gardner for about 4-5 mill pounds. I'm sure if that was possible though, that Jol and the boys would of done it already.
  14. jackhealy
Man U are not a selling club. We should look carefully at any player they are prepared to sell, and why they nare selling him. I can't think of anyone who has bought a player from them who got a real bargain.

the ground taken 36k now - we were oversubscribed for season tickets by 20k, so a 55k stadium would still mean demand would outstrip supply so the club could keep their prices high, or alternatively they could go the whole hog and build a 60k stadium. Either way I'd be happy as it would in the long run mean greater cashflow and therefore greater funds for transfers and wages to attract the best.

Hope Levy can do the deal but I won't hold my breath just yet.

    1 million pound more.

Shit "journalism" from FansFC but the figure of 3-4 million was being mentioned before.

He's class and definitely worth it in my opinion, especially if Ledders is as bad as some say.
  17. Rob
That backs up what has been said elsewhere a while back. Really hoping it's true.
  18. batigol
That´s not entirely true. I´m sure whoever got Karel Poborsky got a pretty good deal after he left Man U. You can say the same for Villareal who bought Forlan from Man U on the cheap. Jaap Stam was a decent deal as well, and I think Andy Cole has done pretty well since he left Man U too.
  19. Sauniere
I think what he's getting at there is that Man Utd only sell once players fail to come up to their high standards anymore. A typical "selling" club will sell good players on because they can't keep them once they attain a certain level so they may as well cash in on them, this is certainly not the case with Man Utd.
