Whilst I am not convinced by Comolli, and retain my perhaps irrational belief that Gooners are no good for Spurs, remember that he doesn't have the freedom of action that Sporting Directors on the Continent do. He isn't handed a budget and given free rein as to what to do with it, he and the head coach/manager (whatever the club decides the title is from one week to another) have to run their targets past Levy, who has the final say. You, I, and 90% of SC were pretty unanimous as to the kind of players we should have brought in this summer. I refuse to believe that Jol and Comolli were unable to see what us lot could.
