Perhaps you'd better read the reserves reports. They're from people who have seen far more of him than you.
Ok ok, I admit it. Director of Football (or Sporting Director) does not work!
Happy?
(well my name is Daniel and you did ask...)
Players like Rose, Maghoma, Pekhart is probably not ready yet? What I mean, is that players like Rose and Maghoma have some of the attributes the first team is looking for, and therefore should be followed closely and maybe get into connection. Taarabt has been in connection with the first team, and I miss him in the team. I hope that Taarabt will be at least a substitute, as he is a player who can come on and change a game to our advantage. He is a special talent with a lot of skills.

Q8, in this instance, a picture is worth a thousand words.
:duh:
I think that accountability is a problem, but again, remember that we appear to have a further complication in that Comolli isn't just handed a budget for transfer fees and wages and allowed free rein as his counterparts on the continent appear to be. He has to operate within a policy laid down by Levy. For all we know, he and Jol may have been in far closer agreement over the type of player we needed for footballing purposes than many appear to think; we had a hint of that when Jol mentioned that 'we' had thought about players such as Distin and Chivu for the CB position before going for Kaboul.
Within those constraints, Comolli hasn't done too badly. Have we signed any total turkeys? I'm not Zokora's greatest fan, but if I've been seriously underwhelmed I also wouldn't say he's been total rubbish; just think back a few years, to the crap Graham and Hoddle and Francis managed to sign. They may not have had the funding we've enjoyed over the past three or four seasons, but they weren't exactly starved of dosh either, and a goodly proportion of the money was pissed away on has-beens and never-wases, and the odd quality player such as Rebrov who was completely the wrong buy at the time. I think Comolli has done rather better than that, but our problem is we're long on potential but rather short on ready-to-run quality where it really matters.
If there are any positives to be drawn from this horror-show of a season, it's that we now have a much clearer definition of roles; I also suspect that Ramos will have a lot more clout than Jol, and we may see that exercised in January. Levy may have shown, yet again, that whilst he is a whizz at making money he has dreadful timing when it comes to the firing of managers, but I can't believe he's so dim that he hasn't realised that we didn't buy the right players this summer.
