United have their training ground, training kit sponsored, and we still don’t have a sleeve sponsor. The commercial team reallly should be pulling their finder out.
I have wondered why we didn't have a sleeve sponsor. Every other team seems to, and it is very un-Levy like to not have one. I came to the conclusion that we may be linking the sleeve and stadium sponsorships.

On another note, I work for Aon (ManU training ground and training kit sponsor) and can tell you that deal is massive in itself, after we sponsored the kit for 4-5 seasons. Chevy came in with a deal that was apparently double and the rumour wasd that their global sponsorship manager (or whatever his title was) got the arse over it. So, to think that they are getting 50% again of their shirt sponsor deal for training complex and training kit, shows us how far we are behind.

I know this may be slightly less glamorous than signing a new player, but the club have made a number of high profile signings this summer on its commercial side.

For some reason our commercial deals have peeked my interest, probably as I see it as the one area left where our rivals gain a substantial financial advantage over us. So I'm pleased to see we're addressing the issue. We already had deals in place with Nike, AIA and Leagoo and so far this summer we've signed deals with:

William Hill - Official betting partner for Europe and Australia
FUN88 - Official Betting Partner for Asia and Latin America
Hewlett Packard - Official IT Enterprise Networking Partner
Hotels.com - Official Accommodation Partner
Heineken - Official Beer Partner
EA Sports - Official Video Game Partner
IWC Schaffhaussen - Official Timing Partner
Audi - Official Car Partner
1XBET - Official Betting Partner for Africa
eToro - Official Online Trading Partner

When I look at the commercial partnerships of our rivals they still have many more than us, but it's a start. And I hope the club continue to sign new deals to close the financial gap. So whilst they may not be the sort of signings we wanted, they could play an important part in us being able to make the sort of signings we want.

Just thought it would be good to have a place to discuss our commercial business and keep track over the new deals we sign.

Piqued.

It's interesting that the eToro partnership has actually been paid in Bitcoin. One would assume for it to be a commercial deal of interest to Tottenham it would be worth at least £1m, which in todays market is around 150 bitcoin. If bitcoin can rise again to its peak from the last 12 months it would triple in value to £3m, and if it hit £100,000 a coin by the end of next year, as some people have predicted, it'll be worth 15 times the initial amount. Sounds like a Levy deal to me.

Didn’t really want to start a thread. Just announced on twitter Hugo boss will be formal clothes partner. Have to say until reading some comments I had no idea about the Nazi connection. I thought it would be a tenuous connection. But after some reading the fact is Hugo boss as a company we’re born out of the Nazi regime and in fact supplied the SS. Given our heritage and connection it seems little regard was taken to our Jewish support. Personally being Jewish although not very orthodox it still sits s bit uncomfortably. Surely we could have found another supplier. Considering the SS outfit was all black, that’s all I can see now when I look at this photo an SS troop. I doubt it will be long before press get hold of it, yet another PR disaster we are starting to rival West Ham.

Levy is hardly renowned for his sensitivity when seeing $ sign

We are really hitting up the commercial game lately. Can't wait to see all the new players we get with this lovely money.

The Nazis dressed well and looked sharp, good to be Boss. If you haven't moved on already then it's time to do it now.

if every player could have a commercial partner reflecting of their skills and shortcomings, that could be fun- or maybe not.

Hugo- Chateau something or other
Lamela- Bupa
Toby- Wonga
Dier- P&O

Off the top of my tired head...

Yes let’s forget the Nazi regime ever happened. That would be a good lesson to take from it. You shouldn’t deride the fact some Jewish people may still be sensitive to Nazi connections even after 70 years. It’s something that should never be forgotten or “ moved on” from.

Oh and by the way it was a great aunts 90th this week and at her party I meet a 92 year lady who spent 3 years in Dachau. She shared the fact her entire family was killed in the holocaust. So while I may be s bit sensitive on the Nazi regime this week. And you may think I’m over reacting. Please don’t FFS my opinion on this. And show a little respect for others feelings.

Happened a long time ago and everyone involved is now dead. Germany as a nation has moved on and we should to.

Btw, quite a few companies collaborated with the Nazis:

If all of these commercial signings lead to further investment in the squad amazing but until then its just spam emails in my inbox.

Maybe you should read my post above. Maybe you should educate yourself. Everyone is not dead. I’m actually fuming tbh by some of the responses on this page. As said people may think I’m being sensitive. But at least understand why I may be sensitive and show a little respect for my opinion.

Apologies, I should have written "the perpetrators of the crimes are now dead".

I have empathy for your feelings; my mum and dad were good friends with Polish Catholics who were imprisoned in Auschwitz. They survived, but lost so much during those years. One of them actually wrote a long letter to my sister, who was studying WW2 during secondary school. The letter detailed his experiences and it's pretty harrowing stuff as you can imagine.

Happy to have a longer conversation about how we deal with the past and heal going forward. Obviously this isn't the thread for it though.

Finally, I still stand by my overall opinion as I've posted above, but I also understand your response to this.

Take care buddy.

Yup sorry got a bit heated. Obviously a sensitive subject. And when you see responses like “FFS” it’s hard to keep a lid on it. But as said probably not the best place to prolong the discussion.
